SOTD w/c Sat 24Mar - Fri 30 Mar...

Gillette Old type with 7 o'clock Super Platinum (second shave)
Culmak shaving soap

Pretty good. This blade worked better in the Old than in my Krona; and there I was singing its praises

Tuesday:

Palmolive cream
Merkur 39c
Red Personna (4)
Alum
Prof Blighty's Isen Vann AS

Another top shave from this razor and blade combo. BBS (except for a tiny patch on my neck that I've just spotted that I missed).

Tuesday

Trumper Razor
Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
EJ Best Badger Brush
Provence Santé Shaving Soap
Clinique Post Shave Soother

Ian

Today, a luxurious shave!

Pre Geo F. Trumper Skinfood Sandalwood + Geo F. Trumper Coconut shaving cream + Simpson Duke3 Best + Merkur 37c Slant with Polsilver #2 + Thayers Lavender "alum" + The Real Shaving balm with skinfood

With these excellent ingredients the shave only could be great! I believe that Coconut cream is one of the best you can get in the market, much better than the rest of Trumper range IMHO. The only con, the Polsilver blade... a bit irritating.

Cheers!

L'Occitane Verbena Soap
Feather Artist Club - SS
Feather Blade Pro
Simpson Chubby 1 in Super
Vulfix Persian Musk
Alum & Witch Hazel
L'Occitane Bavx Balm
Botanics Moisturiser SPF 15
L'Occitane Cedre L'Atlas Eau De Parfum.

Jamie.

It's seems like a long time since i used my DE razors to be honest, the Feather delivered a perfect one pass shave with minor clean up BBS.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep;

old Marshall Fields two band
'Webly'/Wilkinson Light Brigade (NOS)
IK SS
Malizia Vetyver AS
Malizia Vetyver EdT

Man, this Stahly is by far my favorite fixed head. Perfect amount of bite for me, resulting in an extremely comfortable and very close shave. Of course it helps to have a sharp blade like this old Wilkinson to really bring out the best in this combo. Fifth shave with this Light Brigade and no signs of getting dull.

BBS results,

Martin

Tuesday

Another new Razor for me today. The HD Rocket.
I like the feel of this already, the weight of it feels just right to me.

Prep: Hot Shower
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Brush: New Forest Super Badger
Razor: Gillette HD Rocket
Blade: Feather
Balm: Barbershop Natural Bay Rum

I just knew before using this razor that this would be a nice shave, and in this case I was right.

A lovely smooth shave, no nicks or irritation at all :) :) :)

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Neep, coffee bean handle
Razor: Globusmen Gold

Chunky Salter lather, excellent razor and this brush's a champ with cream. Nice shave, indeed! :)

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (14)
Soap: Prof Blighty's peppermint
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Yellow Ginger
Scent: forgot to apply!
Result: mmmm

Minor blood spot in the lather at what used to be the usual place - first blood drawn in ages, actually - but requiring no styptic. When the first drop of water goes onto the soap, there's a wonderful explosion of fragrance, it lathers easily and beautifully, and it and the aftershave left my skin feeling great. Blighty's stuff is first rate, IMO, and I'll be buying others.

Tuesday

Gillette Fat Handled Tech
Gillette Platinum
Vulfix Pure Badger
Erasmic Lather Cream
E45
Speick AS Lotion

First shave ever with this cream found in a chemist's in nearby Innerleithen; only used stick previously. Excellent shave with copious lather.

TUESDAY EVENING

Gillette 'Black Beauty' set to 5 (birth year razor)
Gillette Super Stainless (3 and final)
MWF (scuttle lathered)
Beejay amber acrylic
Witch hazel
Castle Forbes AS balm

Very smooth shave. Surprising given that these blades normally only do 2 before being binned.
