SOTD w/c Sat 24Mar - Fri 30 Mar...

Couple of new things for me today, A new brush and a new (to me) razor.

Soap: Prof Blighty's Harlequin
Brush: Rod Neep Silvertip
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable
Blade: Feather
A/S: Prof Blighty's Harlequin

The brush produced a fantastic lather and was a real pleasure to use. The razor was good as well. Overall a very pleasant shave with excellent results. :)

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (16)
Soap: Taylor's Jermyn Street
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Yellow Ginger
Scent: Trumper's GFT
Result: very decent

I can feel that the blade ain't as sharp as it was, but it's still comfortable and effective.

THURSDAY EVENING

7 o'clock OC
Gillette Super Stainless (2)
La Toja stick
Beejay amber acrylic
Witch hazel
Clinique post shave balm

Lovely shave. Not surprising seeing as this is basically a New, which is one of my best shaving razors (hence I own, erm, a few!)

Beejay's brushes are absolutely excellent as well. Both to use and to look at. I think an enquiry about a Chubby 1.5 will be going in shortly, though I need a bit of inspiration for a nice handle.

Edwin Jagger loaded with Gillette 7 o'clock black
NF 2221 high mountain badger
The Real Shaving Co double cream
Alum
Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna balm

2 passes with a tidy round the chin. Nice and smooth.

Friday:
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Gel
Gillette Fusion ProGlide

Hard to beat that combination.

Tomorrow I will be looking at getting some 'posh' shaving gel from Clinique, Elemis, Clarins, L'Occitane or Lab Series .... or even all five, with L'Oreal, Nivea and No.7 in with a shout too.

First satisfying shave I've had since the beginning of the week:
Rocket HD with Bleue Extra NOS
Kent (Mitchell's Wool Fat) soap
Boots Freshwood aftershave balm
M&S Woodspice aftershave splash

Started off with yesterday's modern Wilkinson and felt like the first pass had removed no stubble. Wanted to finally get the job done properly, hence the Bleue.

I confess I thought the Woodspice aftershave was an aftershave balm, like the Harvard tester was. Now getting one of those in my lunch hour, plus some shoes for my wedding.

Friday

Trumper Razor
Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge
EJ Best Badger Brush
Penhaligon's English Fern Soap
Witch Hazel

My sinuses are telling me that I should not have used an a/s splash for the last 2 days, so it's witch hazel time.

Friday:

Vitos pre shave
Professor Blighty's Harlequin soap
Aristocrat Junior
Wilkinsin Sword (2)
Alum
Professor Blighty's Harlequin AS
Nivea Replenishing ASB

Nice shave, although I nicked myself on my neck, haven't done that for ages. Alum stopped it straight away though.
