... and my morning coffee:

Red Tip with vintage 7 o'clock (not Gillette branded but date code J4)
Nivea moisturising cream as pre-shave
Cella
M and S Harvard aftershave lotion

These vintage blades cut fairly well but they feel as if they drag while they do it. I find it best to buff with them. There are better blades but decent enough for an everyday shave.

Tuesday

EJ89L with Feather
Vulfix Grosevenor bristle & badger
Palmolive stick as puck
RSC soothing balm

Tried a 3rd shave with the Feather. It gave out mid-shave. Mistake not to change it, around 5 weepers in the stubborn places and overall a longer shave than if I had stopped to change the blade. Another blade I can only get 2 good shaves from. I know it seems the norm for the Feather from what I've seen others say. Decent result other than that.

Tuesday:

Vitos pre-shave
Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna cream
Ever Ready Streamline SE
GEM SE blade (2)
Nivea ASB
Pinaud Vanilla

Getting to grips with this razor now. BBS results, one small weeper.

The Jaggers are getting a lot of love this week so this morning the Merkurs took a day off and I shaved with:

Penhaligons nickel / pure badger
T+H 1805 cream
Edwin Jagger DE87
Gillette 7 o'clock green SS (1)
T+H 1805 cologne

Benign razor, but no bad thing. I was reminded how decent these are as I shaved fast and not really concentrating. 3 really quick passes, bang bang bang. It was so fast and cavalier I'm considering wearing a shavenation.com bandana tomorrow. ;-D

Great shave, perfectly smooth and comfortable, without really concentrating. What a nice, kind razor.

tuesday
white proraso pre post
Neo custom 2 band
Proraso green soap
FT rocket + super personna (3?)
thayers superhazel
proraso ASB

result - 2 passes + touch ups. very nice. been using pre post before each pass and it seems to be making a difference for me - no irritation at all and very smooth.

RE: SOTD w/c Sat 14th April - Fri 20th April ..

High speed 3 pass DE shave 12 mins . 58 seconds
Got up late:icon_eek: so every thing high speed for now.
Flair tip silver,Kent bk2 brush,talors sandlewood cream,e-oil,sandlewood skin food.BSS WTG.thave a nice day TTFN....;-)

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep;

old Marshall Fields two band
Schick M type adjustable injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS)
Old Spice SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Caron 'Yatagan' EdT (1970s version)

Excellent shave with this razor/blade combo. This very sharp old blade benefits from being used with a razor that can dial down the bite as needed.

BBS results,

Martin

Today, an "artisan" shave:

16syld.jpg

Pre bath soap Jabonman + Jabonman Vetiver shaving soap sample + Simpson Duke3 Best + Rotbart 15 with Laser Ultra + loción Agua Balsámica with The Real Shaving balm

I'm testing new soaps from this spanish artisan, and it works really well although did'nt produce much foam.

Agua Balsámica is one of my Myrsol favorite lotions by the way, hehe

Cheers!

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (3)
Brush: Neep #947 yew ball and bobbin silvertip badger
Soap: D R Harris Marlborough
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Red Ginger
Result: first class

Tried a slightly different approach to loading the soap, and was well pleased with the outcome. Happy days.
