TGQ 'Leatherneck' extrait (smell like a Marine day)

Nice shave with this old blade, compliments of Jamie. Yeah, he sent me out a pack of these recently and they're good ones. Not as sharp as a few others I've tried, but still one I could use every day if needed. Thanks buddy!

Man, I'm almost out of this extrait, with no place to buy more. Sad day when this wonderful juice runs out.

Started shave with the Aristocrat and wow this is aggresive then I noticed the guard bar lower on one corner and out of shape so swapped to the slim.

Cracking shave - it feels like the the Aristo and the Krona blade were made for eachother even though their companies were mortal enemies.
Close and incredibly smooth.
 
Prep- hot water wash and rinse
Soap- Tabac
Razor- Gillette Rubie (6) in Merkur 42 1904
Shave- 2 wtg passes, 1 xtg pass
Post- Cold water splash, styptic pencil applied to a couple of nicks, Boots botanics moisteriser ( seems to work just as well as purpose made shaving balm) followed by Tabac aftershave splash.
Result very smooth and comfortable shave though couple weepers and a nick on me neck. Think 6 shaves is pushing a little for this blade! Going to try a Gillette Goal tomorrow.
 
This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (5)
Brush: Neep #947 yew ball and bobbin silvertip badger
Soap: L'Occitane Cade
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Green Ginger
Scent: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
Result: pretty good

A few days of French soaps, I think... :).
 
A couple of hours ago:

Prep - Shower
Pre Shave - Proraso cream
Soap - MWF
Razor - Timor TTC with Shark blade in
Alum block - Osma Bloc (not really needed but good practice)
Moisturiser - Nivea for Men Sensitve

Result, better then the last shave where I didnt use the pre shave cream. Pretty pleased with it.
 
Barely five minutes ago:

Hot shower, bit of Mozart on the stereo, Groomed facial scrub.

EJ de89 barley, Ladas blade (3)
New Forest 2207
Nanny's Lime soft soap

Three passes plus tiny touchups
Super smooth shave :sleepy:

Finished off with a splash of Professor Blighty's New Red Ginger shaving lotion - what a cracking product this is - I get a very mild invigorating tingle, less than you would from something like Floid Vigoroso, the scent is lovely (cinnamon and grapefruit?) and the skin is left feeling very cared for :icon_razz:

Now, if only someone on the forum would start producing DE razors and blades, I could keep all my purchases in-house from now on!
