The crawl - Occams Enoch
Breaststroke - Schick Proline
Backstroke - Cadman 24mm Tuxedo
Butterfly - MDC Rose
Doggy paddle - Colegen moisturiser

'It was 10 minutes before the synchronised swimming team realised there was no water and they still had their clothes on'

After cycling 10 miles this morning my wife and I took the two granddaughters swimming. I never thought one and half hours with two little people would be so knackering. But then again it was our 22nd wedding anniversary today and what a better way to spend it?

22 years for the second time that is, being as we were married and divorced from each other before. 22 far better years though. As someone said at the second wedding, 'If this ain't illegal then it bloody well should be'

Fortunately for us we are legal. And very happy

As for the shave. Top drawer stuff on a bottom drawer related day with high expectations and expectations met. That was until the blade found itself wedged in the end of my thumb. I told you the blade loading on the Enoch was fucking dodgy. Nothing a plaster couldn't fix.

But a very happy shave, digits apart. And in parts.

And a return to those wonderfully talented ladies and their new release. Must be a new album due which is good news here. Enjoy.....

Congratulations, best wishes to you both.

Happy anniversary to you both - you are the only other person I know with two of them. Thirty years for me and my other half - five on, a year off and then 24 and counting. Thus belying Wilde's comment - 'Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience.' - :) - yours - I.

After a couple of sub-optimal shaves with a Gillette blade, I opted for a Feather in the Nodachi this morning with a Eucris lather, and what a wonderful shave it was. Close and comfortable for a smooth result.

Soap – A&E The Undersea
Brush – AP Shave Co Sand Ebonite / AP 2 band SHD gel
Razor – ER 1912
Blade – GEM SS
A/S – A&E The Undersea
Balm – Lea 3in1
EDT – Azzaro Solarissimo Marettimo

“Pig in shit !” comes to mind today.
After two less than favourable outings, today was everything I'd hoped for and I can finally understand why so many enjoy this razor.
No comparison whatsoever between today and my previous shaves with the ER.
Once again a big thanks to @culcreuch Brian for sending me some of these blades to try. Connaught will be my next stop ………….….. and a new rabbit-hole ! ?
I had thicker growth today than my previous shaves so the blade was definitely going to be tested. Zero tugging issues, super smooth and comfortable and no hard graft involved. It’s made my day as I really wanted to like this razor and get some use out of it.
My favourite soap and brush of the moment were contributary to a wonderful shave and copious amounts of The Undersea splash are wafting around my silky chops while sitting in the garden on this beautiful sunny day.

Aaahhh ! Now for a beer …………. or two !

Have a great day everyone.

Enoch is an apt razor name, didn’t Enoch Powell MP once use the expression “rivers of blood”? He must have had a premonition about you
