Well it's unusual for me to shave on a Monday.... I normally do it on a Tuesday morning.
However I'd had a fairly long day, ended up getting a take away coz I was too tired to wait for my good lady to cook something, she also suggested it. A couple of beers and a dog walk later I decided I should have my shower and then thought 'Aye lad, why not'..... so after the shower I got out my 'pressed into a tub Arko' my donated EJ 3one6 stainless knurled, and my omega boar brush and set about removing the ever growing keratin chin stalks, whilst reminding myself why I used to listen to Yanni. (It's been a while, but thoroughly enjoyed the orchestral arrangements)

It was a delightful 2.5 pass shave, finished off with a decent dowsing of 4711.

Pre: Warm shower
Razor: EJ 3one6 stainless knurled.
Soap: Arko
Blade: Astra green #2
Brush: Omega 10065y
Post: 4711 cologne.

Firstly i couldn’t get a lather which isn’t like me,
i got there in the end but my usual technique didn’t work,
whether the tips of this brush have to much gel or iv left some soap behind from cleaning the brush.
Whether any of these excuses is the actual problem i guess i’ll never know.
Iv used this soap before with zero issues albeit months ago.
The Brush handle is everything you would expect from C&H but i’m definitely not impressed with the knot,
i wish these makers gave us the knots the way they come, Hard, smelly & a joy to use.
Never mind maybe next time.
Also the dury was out for me on the Proline,
Can’t say i liked it but didn’t dislike it either.
Not a patch on the Feather in my opinion.
Overall a decent enough shave but just not 100%
Stay Safe Boys & Girls & don’t do anything i wouldn’t

Will, the owner of B&M, has stated that this Omnibus base works better with synthetics. Just an FYI, Popeye the Sailor Man. ;)

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Lynx Africa Squeezed Mandarin & Sandalwood Body Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10051.
Face Lather.
Lather: Kent Luxury Shaving Soap.
Blade: Treet 7 Day Platinum. (D3)
Razor: Parker 94R.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Nivea Men 2 Phase + P&G Old Spice Original ASL Mixture. /Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

Early morning shave.

It's been a while since i used the Kent/MWF soap, always provides a superb lather. If I had to choose a favourite shaving soap, then the Kent/MWF would be a very strong contender. My love of 'The Fat' is a burning eternal flame of lanolin goodness. A superb shaving soap.

The Parker 94R is a sturdy hefty efficient lady that holds no prisoners to face stubble.

Everything in my shave set up this morning worked together superbly.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Of course my brain didn't think of using Nightwitch on Halloween. So here it is a day late.

Going for the hat trick of face lathers, there may be something in this after all. I'm going to rotate through all my brushes and see what happens.

Once again the razor and blade combo was so smooth I had to check there was a blade in it at all.
