**Not used the Ikon for a while and it performed well despite its vicious reputation. Perhaps my old version is kinder than the latest models.

A/S & Balm – Nivea 2 Phase

It’s the first time I’ve put a WS blade in this razor and although very efficient it wasn’t as smooth as my favoured Gillettes. Nevertheless, still a wonderful shave .................. well almost !?
TOBS Grapefruit is a lovely tonic on a beautiful sunny morning.

One major balls up today and the most basic of basic errors.
For reasons unknown to man I decided to give the razor handle one final “nip up” to ensure everything was nice and tight ….…… with wet hands !
I had no need to do this as it was already prepared before I started shaving. God knows where my head was at !?
Anyway, my fingers slipped around the top cap and along the blade ….... NICE !
Only one finger cut and it could have been worse but another reminder to self ……...... Don’t mess about with the razor when it’s already prepared !

Cutting myself like this reminded me of an old boss of mine who enjoyed taking the piss out of seasoned tradesmen if they made a basic mistake. He would ask them ……….... “Is this you’re first day son ?”

The Game Changer was probably the ideal razor for a three pass shave. A close and (mostly) comfortable shave was the result. I got one small weeper during the final atg pass on the neck, atg was uncomfortable. I think I might stick to one wtg pass followed by two xtg passes rather than the traditional wtg, xtg, atg for a while yet.
