SOTD: Saturday 19 - Friday 25 November 2022.

16-hour day & night shifts use to be a regular thing for me. Now i only work 8–10 hours max. 16-hour shifts are no good for quality production, and most importantly for your health. I say to my production manager 'That i work to live, not live to work' he might, but i don't! which doesn't make me a very popular chap amongst the staff, but I'm not bothered as they show no respect for the people who actually do the job, they are just yes men, who need to grow a pair of balls and stand up for themselves...Hopefully your 16-hour days will end soon, I understand the reason you need too, "needs must," unfortunately especially how things are at the moment. Take care. Yours-Barry

Yes, I'm going through the same this week and all too regularly. It's making me ill for sure. It's not even "getting ahead", it's become the expectation. I spoke to my director about it and the health problems it has caused, and he said, verbatim, in front of the whole team "welcome to 2021, if I tell you to work all night you bloody well work all night!". He's a young ambitious little upstart with a care only for his progression, and if we die of heart or mh problems he'll kick our bodies out of the way and hire more. I would leave but I get the impression everywhere is like this now and it's just become commonplace. Everyone talks about mental health on LinkedIn but the reality is that they push and push until people break and then say "he could not hack it, no loss to us".

what the tunnel visioned arrogant self-aggrandizing young ambitious little upstart can't see purely because of his arrogance, is that without your good self & the rest of your team the work schedule wouldn't work. The only way that some people understand is by physical intimidation, I for one would approach the ambitious little upstart outside work and tell him exactly what i will do to him if he doesn't show me some respect! A wrong way dealing with the situation, i totally agree, but intimidation works. A bully will back down once he or she has been confronted. Good luck and take care of yourself. Yours Barry.

Not in the workplace where they can pull rank or just sack you for gross misconduct, which a confrontation like that would be. This is the reason I was actually glad they cancelled the Christmas party last year, as I have the skills for that but after some beers probably not the restraint! I'll be on shandy this year and leave early just in case lol! But thanks for your moral support Barry and others. Right, I have to get back onto my job now, ugh.

He'll get what he deserves one day. As for the Christmas party, Your forced to work with him, you don't socialise with him. You don't need alcohol for courage..Give him enough rope,and he'll hang himself. The sooner, the better.

Give me five minutes in a sealed room with the cunt. Arthritis or no, he’d get the full wrath of my Fraser temper.

Razor = Muhle Rocca
Blade = London bridge
Brush = C&H Turquoise Lilly V15
Soap = P&B Right Handed Giant with matching balm
Splash = Brut by Fabargè
Magic shave tonight.
The scent on this soap is spot on and a wonderful take on Brut.
There’s a good few soaps out there i would be very disappointed iv i couldn’t get again & this is one of them.
I really like the way these companies do a homage to the older scents.
The Rocca paired with the london bridge was also class
a really fine shave.
Stay Safe Boys & Girls
