Those of you who read SOTD posts will know that for me it's a feather or wilkinson sword blade for me, so I'm not even going to try to let these Russian blades glide past your eyes on my post trying to do a crafty, your all far to smart for that crap.

I got these from a Swedish friend off Facebook some time ago but have been too busy to try them out:blush: My understanding is these blades are quiet cheep to buy so I wasn't in any rush to try them out thinking Durby :icon_eek: which is more nearer the truth.

But I am very surprised by mother Russia to produce a half decent razor blade and at a cheep cost to boot.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Simpson's best
'Webly'/Iridium
Lentheric SS
Boots Northwoods AS balm
Givenchy 'Xeryus' EdT (black bottle)

This old what must be a tallow based soap really does a nice job. Not much fragrance left, but the performance is top notch.

The razor/blade combo's the same one as the last five shaves. Yeah, this set up is easily in my top 2-3 favorites. Effortless shave.

BBS results,

Martin

Superdrug Sierran Breeze aftershave

Very nice blade indeed. Similar/same as the modern Permasharps - the gold and maroon ones - first pass got me a DFS, second very close. I managed a BBS in the difficult areas after another two passes on those.
