Great soap, great razor, still slightly disappointing brush, but a good shave mongoloids.

Now that is a quality bit of predictive text. It's like something out of Monty Python!

Couldn't resist leaving it in. Swype's a fairly skilful comedian!

Definitely a genune "LOL" moment because:

1) It's funny.

2) I can imagine your reaction to it when you read it.

Gillette Old Type
Gillette yellow (3)
Vie Long 13061
Proraso white soap
Witch hazel
Proraso blue balm

Dior Homme

BBS. I don't foresee a time when I won't have a Proraso soap in my rotation. Also, the chilly weather means I'm slowly breaking out my more wintry/autumnal scents. Dior Homme is probably my favourite offering from a 'designer' house. This bottle definitely smells slightly different to my first though?

Gillette Silver Blue
Semogue OC
Cella
Sudocrem

I find these blades a lot like the gillette yellows, although a less sharp i tend to get no weepers this blade.

Getting great results from the semogue and cella now, easy DFS shave with just the usual rough patches on the jaw line.

Getting some hankering for some new soap, torn between simpsons and gft coconut.

result: 2 passes, not bad. a poor lather on the second pass from the proraso, I havent used that soap in a while so maybe it didnt load the brush as well as it would with normal use.

Will be time for some new proraso pre post soon and some new proraso ASB - not sure to go for the white or the blue.. anyone tried both?

Wednesday 19th September 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Heavy Flat Top
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Tweex
Aftershave: King of Shaves Balm

My first shave with my new (to me) Heavy Flat Top/G Bar which arrived in the post yesterday, the razor required no more than a good scrub with Fairy Liquid and shone like a new pin.

First impressions are all positive, nice weight and feel, a fairly gentle shaver that on my medium beard does a perfect job. I'm really pleased with it!

Regards
Dick.

Noxzema Classic shave foam (49p at Savers for a 75ml can)
Fatboy (nickel plated) on 7, 5, 3
Jianyu (the swordfish Chinese blade) (second shave)
TOBS Shaving Shop a/s gel

Very close to BBS. Works brilliantly with the Fatboy. The Noxzema is also really good - face feels cool and you can't really fell the blade. Might get this again; it might even replace my desire to get a travel brush if I can pick up a few more cans.
