Pre shave - Hot Towel, Simpson's Shave Cream
Razor - Weber ARC
Blade - Astra S/P
Brush – Duke 3
Soap - RazoRock Mudder Focker
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ RazoRock Aftershave Wax

The Weber is much better suited with the S/P on my skin....The Simpson's Shave Cream makes a fantastic Pre Shave cream, and the Mudder Focker is an absolute delight!! ;)

Early shave before I go out. Great lather, pity I was crap!

A luxury shave after a difficult week staying in Cairo:

Hot Shower
Kent BK8
TOBS Sandalwood bowl lathered in a stonking hot bowl
Weber DLC - Polisilver Stainless
Profs ASB - 444

Beautiful hot shave, the BK8 was perfect luxury face painted in hot lather. Bloody marvellous shave just what I needed. BBS before first day back at work.

St James of London pre-shave oil
TF&H soap
Best badger brush
Merkur 25c, long handle open comb
Derby Extra
Distilled Witch Hazel
Boots Freshwood AS balm

Very close and very smooth

Planet Rock on the radio
Hot shower, proraso pre-post to clear my somewhat blocked nose

Weber DLC, still loaded with a Super Iridium on the umpteenth shave.
Cella soap lathered with New Forest brush
Two passes.

Proraso ASL and pre-post cream to finish

I'm struggling to get a decent lather from the Cella (only used it twice so far) - any tips? Our local water is very soft.

Still, a nice, close comfortable shave, and I feel much better for it.

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap, cold
Razor: Myers & Son 6/8"  hollow ground
Brush: Simpson Major in best
Soap: Palmolive stick
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Green Ginger
Scent: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

Predictably with this razor and three days to take off, the first pass was tuggy, but the other two and the result were just fine.

Is Palmolive good? Yup. Is La Toja better? Yup. Eight times the price better? Maybe not. £3.50 better every year or two? Definitely. Variety's always good, though.

Prep: Old Spice 'High Endurance' face wash
Cream: Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn
Brush: Edwin Jagger synthetic bristle
Blade: Timor
Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Barley chrome
Post shave: Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn after shave lotion.

The Timor blade, though expensive compared to other brands, feels a bit rough. Earlier in the week I had used a Personna 'red' blade which was much milder and smoother.
