Aqueous cream
Tobs Luxury shaving cream
Progress on 2.5, 1.5 with Feather
M and S Woodspice a/s balm

Fantastically close shave. Yesterday's shave wasn't the closest and there was a lot of stubble to get through, hence the Feather. I did get a very small weeper on my chin which alum and styptic couldn't stop.

Tuesday:

Second attempt with a straight

LEA Mentolated cream - really nice lather and a nice menthol kick
Omega silvertip
Feather Artist Club SS
Feather Professional Blade (2)
Barbershop Bay Rum
Alum

No major incidents (just a couple of nicks on my chin) which I guess is all I can expext at this early stage. I'm having difficulty with my upper lip and chin but my cheeks and neck seem to go alright. I'm really enjoying the challenge.

Finished off the hard to reach places with a Muhle R89.

The little Simpson (which I used on holiday) seems better suited to the Col. Conk soap.

Greetings,

Monday 9th July 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Gillette Fatboy (newly purchased from Perished on this forum)
Blade: Personna (Israeli Red)
Soap: Kent Luxury
Brush: Vie Long Horse
Aftershave : Nivea Sensitive Balm

This is the very first time I have used a fatboy and I was impressed. Unusually for me I had three days of growth as I had been away camping over the weekend in fairly primitive conditions. I made the first pass on five and the other two on three and got a superb smooth shave.

Perished very kindly sent me several packets of blades and all but one of them I have not previously tried. A huge thank you!

Regards
Dick

Yesterday I went with the same razor, but with the new formula LEA stick (great stuff as well as the Forbes, slight price diff though :)). Two great shaves!!

Breaking in the badger (thanks Peter!) and bringing the tub of GFT into a 'summer' (hah) rotation of sorts.

Wednesday:

Vitos pre-shave
Proraso Red cream
Omega Silvertip
Feather Artist Club SS
Feather Pro blade (3)
Alum
Pinaud Clubman

Third straight razor shave this morning. I changed the grip slightly, I had two fingers on either side of the scales today and it meant I felt I had much more control. Two WTG passes and a bit of touch up on my neck and I had a DFS, very satisfied. I got a nick or two, the odd weeper but I'm happy with that at this early stage. Really enjoying it!
