Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Le Tuft, w Simpson knot
Razor: C V Heljestrand no: 4
Soap: Nannys French Lavender
AS: Prof Blightly's Woodgrape
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean
This blade's soooo good, maybe not one of the older and more fancy Heljes or even very large (11/16), but still it's one of my top shavers!
... I know this is for razors, but I got such a nice shot of coffee this morning:

Gave the Feather AS-D1 a run out today after neglecting it lately in favour of the Feather AC-SS, still my number one when it comes to the smoothest shave I could possibly give myself, two pass shave super smooth.

*Do appearances matter? Yes - I think so, and the tricolor packaging of this blade looked just dandy among my shave set-up this morning. A nice tissue wrapping inside, containing a stiff, unpretentious blade. Sharp? Yes. Aggressive? Not at all. A fully cooperative blade, performing without complaining or biting. The perfect shave? By no means. But good, smooth results with no irritation. I could live with this blade if I had to.

Joseph Elliott Wedge - NF2213 - Maca Root - Alum - Xeryus
Its been a while since I last used this wedge. My honing has improved a lot since and I wanted to re-hone this one without tape, as I have stopped using tape on all my others.
I blunted the edge on a glass then set to re-establishing the bevel etc. I threw every stone I own at it and it took a while to get an edge I'm happy with and its certainly the best shave I've had with this one, by a long way. Not sure if I really like wedges to be honest, I love the sound and feel of a full hollow, but I guess that may well be down to the level of experience.
