A really nice smooth shave from the 1912, not as close as the R101, but it was a pleasure hearing the cry of whiskers getting cut, bowl lathered for a change and the Arko makes excellent lather.

Same set up as last 3 days but neck and under jawline very red and sore. Third use of Bleue Extra so could be that. Alum and styptic but still got blood spot on my white shirt collar

Last day with this blade, going to move on. I like the sharpness of the feather, but, it seems a bit too much for my skin to take much each day.

Any suggestions?
 
My suggestion: used a Gillette 7o'clock Blue, from Dubai, for the 1st time this AM. It was a very nice shave. Used it with a TTO Gillette Blue Tip. Acceptable shave after 2 passes. Very nice shave after the 3rd. I plan on using them again.

Tuesday's shave.
Thought I'd take the Gillette colored tip razors for a spin this week. Started with:
Razor: Gillette Blue Tip B 4
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Blue
(of course) from Dubai .
Pre&shave cream: Proraso
After shave: Masters Bay Rum

Very nice shave the Blue Tip, even with the Aluminum handle, is a nice handling razor, that no matter which way I go with it, i find that I can't cut or scrap myself with.
 
This morning:

Bulldog face wash
Taylor's Sandalwood stick, face lathered with
New Forest Tubby 2.
Gillette super-speed (58), with
Gillette 7OC green (2)
Trumper's Sandalwood skin food and cologne


Too rushed and cavalier, I suspect, as I had a weeper and a nick and now have collar-line irritation. Bah humbug.
 
Better shave today with only slight irritation and I would say that was only because of yesterday.

I'm liking the No10 range a lot so have just ordered the pre shave and post shave, guess the brushes I want will have to wait!

First shave with the impressive-looking stainless steel PAL Injector. Quite nice.

AS: Prada
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D
Lather showels are nice, you can shave ½ the face before wiping the blade off (this one's 15/16) :D The rosary is a Greek komboloi (Cheers K!)
