Great shave super smooth, the Mitchells Woolfat soap is so slick, great soap, the 'Le Tuft Chubby 1.5 custom is a super little brush with a great knot, quite soft, but with loads of back bone. i'm so pleased with the brush i've already asked Bill to make another brush, different design, but same knot.

SATURDAY RELAXING SHAVE

Ikon Shavemaster
Gillette Super Thin (1)
BR Privateer
Proraso soap
Woodhead scuttle
Witch hazel
Trumper lime skin food
PB coffee AS

Took me a while to get used to the Shavemaster, but it now delivers a very nice shave.

Probably still not as good as my New though which was, erm, a tenth of the price!

Edwin Jagger DE 89 / Fatboy on 6
Gillette Platinum (St. Petersburg)
TOBS Almond
Proraso post-shave

This blade didnt seem to work well in the EJ so tried it in the FB. Felt more like it was scraping than cutting and took three solid passes plus touch ups (normally expect 2 from other better blades). Really needed the Proraso soothing afterwards.

Meh.

Saturday

Muhle R101
Treet Durasharp Carbon [2]
Palmolive S/Stick
Vie Long Boar
Witch Hazel with added menthol
Gillette A/B
Old Spice A/S P&G

It just gets better with the muhle a superb 2 pass shave with a bit of touch up, the Treet seemed better on the 2nd shave, a really nice combination.

Saturday:

Merkur HD 34c
Tiger
Nanny's French Lavender hard soap
Nameless 2 band badger 24mm
Floris Mahon Leather

This soap really is tremendous stuff. The Tiger blade doesn't feel as smooth in the HD as it does in my Red tip, but the results were fine. Finished off with a splash of leathery goodness from the Floris sample that arrived this morning. Top-notch :icon_biggrin:

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
1970s Schick adjustable M type injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
SebaMed AS Balsam
Creed 'Original Cologne'

Hadn't planned on using the injector this morning. Heh, that's how much I know about this goofy 'hobby'. Yep, that silly piece of plastic called to me and I went along. Very smart of me, since the shave was quite good (as usual). Nice to have this set up in the arsenal.

BBS results,

Martin

I had some serious stubble to contend with today, about 4 days worth.

So the shave went as follows:

Razor: Slim (4-6-9)
Blade: Bic (1)
Brush: Semogue 830
Cream: Bluebeards
Post: Trumpers sandalwood skin food followed by a little splash of TOBS bay rum around 30 mins later.

The result.. Perfect. The 830 is an awesome brush. To think this was put away in a drawer. Back into the rotation it goes!

Have a good weekend gents.
