After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 Macys badger
1934 type Aristocrat/Iridium
AOS lemon SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Vintage Caron 'Yatagan' Pour Monsieur EdT

Nice change of pace using the AOS cream. Very easy to lather and a very good performer.

BBS results,

Martin

Tuesday

Normal Prep, Followed by a second go with Sunburyboys Rose whipped up with the NF2201. This was then removed with the HD 500 rocket And a green 7o'clock, Used for the 4 time. Finished with proraso AS and post cream.
Results where excellent. The soap performed superbly, immense amounts of thick lush foam. Previous attempts where obviously pilot error.
A very enjoyable shave.
Thanks Steve. :D

Aura Glow
Cella Shave Soap (cream?)
New Forest #2201 Superior Badger
Genco Master Barber Spike
SRD Premium I Strop .. 30 Linen/60 Leather
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Nivea AS Balm
Pashana AS

One can spend alot of money on a straight razor and still get a shave no better than a Genco can consistently deliver... Sometimes I forget just how good this little Master Barber is..
Pashana AS captured my imagination about a year ago, and I waited all this time to try it. It arrived yesterday with some other goodies, and now I'm sorry I waited so long, but alas, it's the story of my life... A day late, and a dollar short..

The sexy little librarian watches over it all...

Great photos and shaves this week, gents!

6/8 Texol No.5
Body Shop Maca Root Cream

Lloyds Chemist Distilled Witch Hazel
RSC Moisturising Post-Shave Soothing Balm
Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Penhaligons English Fern soap
Simpson X2L 2 band
Gillette NEW #77

Alum
DRH Sandalwood

Close enough, needs a tad sharper blade, back with the NEW after an extended period with the Jagger.
I just missed using this, a finely balanced surgical tool compared to the cumbersome proportions of the Jagger.

Tuesday Night:

For some reason (solidarity with our Glasgae brethren? ... or still not use to the warm winters here in the UK after all those years in Canadialand? ... or perhaps, simply some latent mental instability rising to the occasion - I dunno), I decided to have a really cool shave tonight (Daddio!), so I went a wee bit menthol-blastish:

    • - Le Tuft's incredibly cool Urban Hermit's Black & Blues shave set
      - Lord Cool super stainless blade
      - Lord Emofresh Menthol shave cream
      - cascades of cold water rinses after each pass
      • (pretty much the usual for me anyway)[/list:u]
        - cool as a Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel apré by Humphreys
        - Cooling Blue Skin Bracer by Mennen[/list:u][/list:u]

... all splendidly as fresh as a spring morning in my haze of youthful days.
