Sunday, 12-05-10.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 Macys badger
1934 type Aristocrat/Iridium
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
vintage Marly 'eau de Cognac AS and Cologne

I really enjoy using this razor from the arsenal, especially when there's an extra days worth of whiskers to be whacked. It's one of the few OC types that fit me pretty well, and it's also one of the nicer looking ones. Feels good in my hand and the resulting shave is a comfortable and a bit closer than usual one.

BBS results,

Martin

Sunday Evening - OK, so this is my 100th day without missing a shave, so I had to mark the occasion with a special blade...

Razor - 1950's 'Made in England' Gillette Tech
Blade - Gillette 'Made in England' Platinum - from a pack donated by my Dad which he probably bought in the 1970's,
Soap - Tabac. What else could I use for this vintage style shave?
All finished off with a splash of witch hazel and some Nivea ASB.

Feels good!

Sunday

Ever Ready (1912 head / aluminium handle)
GEM SE blade
Tabac stick
Simpsons Commodore X1
Razorock alum stick
L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Hydrating Boost Post-Shave Balm
Pinaud Clubman AS Lotion

Sunday evening

Gillette Thermo Scrub
Prorasso pre shave cream
NF 2211
Gillette Fatboy 3
Feather (4)
Prof B's Grapewood set - soap/AS/ASB

Profs set was a sample to Simmo who generously forwarded it on. It's my second shave with it, the first I got a case of disappearing lather, but tonight confirmed that as user error. The AS and ASB felt a really nice quality product, great texture and aroma - very impressed with this.
