A very pleasantly scented lather with the Barrister’s Reserve Fern, an excellent soap. The Ikon gave it’s usual close and very comfortable shave with last week’s Treet blade, now on it’s fifth shave, and showing no sign of fading.

I really like the idea of the band razor, however, i do believe i am in the minority.
A wonderful face lather from the MWF and Alpha, plenty slickness for the shave.
I completed an easy 2 pass shave WTG then ATG for a very comfortable DFS+ finish, the razor itself, for me at least, is mild and pretty efficient.
Finishing with a nice post shave to set me up for the Bank Holiday.

The wood comes from a beam of farmstead no. 4 in the Nordhorn district of Gütersloh, built in the middle of the 17th century.

Surprisingly poor performance from the Supermax today - felt rough as anything. No discernible reason for it, so I'll give it another outing tomorrow and bin if it doesn't improve.

A great shave from my original Hone 15, I’m very tempted to cut my loses with the Hone 15s as even with the better shorter handle the steel version just isn’t as good as this. They shave is smoother and arguably this lots better. Torn between sending it for a polish and plate or selling it as is. Regardless today was a delightful shave and well needed.

I have had this razor for quite a few years now and at the time it just didn't 'click'. Today was a lovely shave in 3 passes and makes me pleased to be a hoarder!
