A much better shave today than yesterday, no need for the Alum block. I whipped up a basic lather in the pewter soap dish then moved to to a face lather, i do like the simplicity of this soap, a very clean scent, pity it has been discontinued, i do have a few back up puck's, although i do not think i will get through them in my lifetime. The lather was nice enough and easily lasted on the face for each pass with a great post shave feel.
I completed my 2 pass shave routine for a comfortable, DFS+ finish, finishing with the Aqua Velva, very nice bit of sink time for this slightly overcast Sunday morning.

Amazingly slick and nourishing shaving soap. Wee British startup company that make great shaving soap and the scent here is manly perfection.

Many thanks to @Boycie83 for lending me the Gamechanger .84 base plate. Top gent and I loved the shave. More efficient as one would expect with more blade feel but at no point did I think it would attack. I am ‘Matron-Approved’ smooth!

Just back from a short trip to the Midwest, visiting in-laws. I enjoy traveling, for the most part, but it certainly is good to get back to my brushes, shaving soaps, and DE razors.

Not in an unmanageable way but i normally use plate D and jumped it up to G .
Think i’ll start using up some samples, I brought them with me to use yet i always seem to keep them for a rainy day.
It will need to be a 10 year monsoon before i start running out lol.
Nothing on this shave actually went with each other but i enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Scent of the soap is a bit over powering, like someone threw a cup of coffee at me but a great performer.

'Sexy? Tractor or who I presume must be a farmer?'

Noticed a few Evo's making the SOTD's recently so I thought I would be a late entry to the gang. A wonderful razor which really delivers but boy is it crudely made. Or at least I think so. It doesn't have the manufacturing edge of the Colonials or the Mongoose with the handle being particularly bad, especially on the aesthetics. Dreadful.

But I can forgive it as it never steps out of line and just simply does a great job with minimal effort and a big lack of fear factor. Outside of my reserved thoughts it still remains a cracking bit of kit.

Team lather doing a great job and if you haven't tried them I couldn't recommend The Bath House products highly enough. Soap, scents and balms. A hidden side of mens grooming.

A very grin inducing shave with very acceptable results. A most enjoyable shaving experience.

Second run with the Lord-made OK blade and while it's smoother than the first run, it's still most definitely more Shark than Lord brand.

It's, well ... "OK" and gains a respectable 7/10 in my book with is where many perfectly acceptable stainless blades sit.

Wow!! What a fantastic scent from this soap (enhanced by the splash). The strength is just perfect. The lather is richly creamy and slick...really wow!
The shave with this excellent razor paired with the 3rd used blade was even better. Somehow it was smoother and crispier. 3passes for a bbs finish without any issues. The matching aftershave is just terrifically great!!

Good shave this morning, back into my rotations now they are all at my disposal. Passiflora first up for a fruity difference, pleasant three pass for an uber smooth finish.

Ready for a trip out with the family to try and snag ourselves some moughnuts before heading out to the beach/forest for a walk.

I prepped well, took my time; but the blade was rough and left me with a few nicks. I guess the Platinum Blues are not for me. I’ll switch to and Astra for tomorrow’s shave. Have a good remainder of the long weekend, folks.
