Simpsons Colonel
Real Shave Co. shaving cream
Barbershop Bay Rum
Astral Cream
Vintage Shulton Old Spice Cologne

A thousand thanks to Martin for the Old Spice - 'tis wonderful stuff. Still not keen on the scent of that RSC cream but it performs very well indeed. Only 12 tubes left so the Missus can use it up but I'll probably send some to that Tyke of a Polisman. Back to good old Ingrams tomorrow. Aye.

Wednesday

Hot shower, shampoo beard
Body Shop Macca Root shave cream face lather
MenU bristle brush
Edwin Jagger DE89
Astra SP (3)
3 passes WTG, XTGx2
Lush Dirty shave cream for touch up

Nice shave but painful, 4 shaves may be the limit for an Astra SP, guess we'll find out tomorrow huh? Plenty of weepers, dissapointing.

Wednesday 4th September

Brush: Omega 31020
Cream: Body Shop Maca Root- face lathered
Razor: Schick L Type
Blade: Personna (5)
Post: Witch Hazel, Steve's Barbershop Bay Rum

Nice shave indeed. Only one ATG pass needed for a very close shave, happy days. Really enjoying the Injector, and these blades work great for me too.

Tuesday evening

Prep : Clinique face soap and scruff
Razor : Ikon Deluxe OC
Blade : Gillette Silver Blue
Brush : Simpson Chubby 2
Soap : Tabac
Post shave : Freezing cold flannel followed by Old spice Whitewater

First shave using Tabac. Bit strange as with the Chubby I still had to swirl for a good minute and a half but actually managed to get a comfortable 3 pass shave out of the Chubby with enough for a touch up if I needed. Not bad for the Tabac and didn't notice any horrible scent either.

That Chubby still needs a lot of work though but I'm not giving up on it.

Wednesday:

Razor: iKon OC
Blade: Sputnik (5)
Brush: The Soap Shed Super Badger
Shave soap: Arko stick
A/S: Superdrug Clear Water
Cologne: Mama Bear's GIT clone

Smooth and problem-free.

mikes lily of the valley shaving soap

penhaligons opus 1870 edt

lovely shave, totally impressed with mikes natural shaving soap. i know the shipping knocks the price up on this, but considering you can pay £15-20 delivered for a good quality established soap, i dont think its such a biggie to pay the extra for a soap of this quality, wonderful stuff.

Warm shower
Hot flannel
TOBS Rose cream bowl lathered
Simpson 56 best badger brush
Gillette 1940's thin handle tech
Gillette 7 o'clock sharp edge (1)
Cold rinse
Thayers lavender witch hazel
Myrsol F/extra aftershave

Very nice shave first outing for this Tech worked well with the Sharp edge blade

Tech / Weber Bulldog
Personna Lab Blue (2)
Semogue SOC boar
Martin de Candre scented
Nivea Sensitive balm
Serge Lutens Serge Noire

I fancied something different and so swapped the handle from a Fat Handle Tech with a Weber Bulldog. Nice, gentle shave yet a good result - a 'DFS', I suppose. Not worth maintaining reguarly as the Weber heads are mild yet smoother and more effective for me. I don't rate the Nivea balm as highly as the Proraso balm (my only point of reference as yet). It doesn't seem to 'do' a lot.
