Adnams Broadside, had that years ago in Hunstanton. Loved it! Must go back again. Had 3 pint and my wife disowned me. Must be good stuff then..

1st whirl with this razor. I've read that Minora was a South African razor brand (I think, but stand to be corrected, that the brand still lives on in blades) acquired by Gillette around the 1930s IIRC. The razor is stamped Made in England. Essentially the same head design as a LC New. Longer handle and a bit heavier then my #11H New Service Set. I like it. Nice comfortable shave and my usual BBS.

Playing with a bunch of new stuff ...

Today brought me a whole heap of cool shaving gear, but rising to the top was a Sheffield made Durham Domino which had a vintage blade in there. Cleaned, sterilised and stropped, it had a good edge. Over 100 years old, possibly, and still stropped up ready for use.

Two passes with my new Rose of Bulgaria shaving cream and I'm feeling smooth. Very smooth. The alum wash was absolutely without sting!

The Rose of Bulgaria Aftershave was so good. It put me a lot in mind of Alt Innsbruck, menthol and scent. The menthol is cooling without any burn and the lingering scent so nice. Mrs pegged it as Turkish Delight.

In all, a great pair of shaving products and a lovely razor with a superb vintage blade.

So…cologne copies off BST finally arrived and first one tried, would have been a much better experience if the seller had not chosen to fib about when we should expect to receive the items,
especially after taking a week to post them in the first place. Very poor.

The shave, a vintage perma-sharp in a digress, whats not to like :)
