Very nice :)

Blueness shaving stick. Arrived as I was deciding what to shave with. Decided on a razor in the end :)
Turkish no. 6
Schick blade dated 2001
Fatboy gold on 7, 4, 5
Aquatonic aftershave AND EDT (?)

Like the stick. All the performance of Arko but with a toned down and neutral clean smell

I think the smell is very similar to TOBS Jermyn Street, not exactly the same but like a cheaper version. That's my opinion anyway.

First S.O.T.D post

Edwin Jagger DE86
Rapira Super Stainless
TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream
Trumper Lime Skin Food (From sample - thinking of buying a full bottle of either the Lime or Coral)

Proraso preshave
Musgo Real Shaving Soap / Vie Long Cheapo Horsehair (face lathered)
EJ DE89 / Personna Lab
DR Harris Marlborough Aftershave
L'Occitaine Cade Balm

Second go with the Musgo Real soap, which I haven't seen many people using. It's a really mixed bag: First pass was too dry and stiff. Second pass, really good lather. Third pass lather thinned out and not terribly effective.

I will persevere with it as I love the scent, but it's nowhere near Proraso / MWF / Speick.

Today, to the accompaniment of planet rock internet radio:

Gillette Slim M3
Iridium blade, umpteenth shave
New Forest brush
Cella soap

Two passes, touchups on jowls
Proraso splash to finish.

LSS (lovely saturday shave) :icon_razz:

Have a cracking weekend folks.

Saturday

Afternoon, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Super Smooth Southsea Spray
Aftershave: Jovan Musk

An absolutely top shave. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Sat A.M.

Have watched World War Z.

Now have tips for Le Coq.

If it bites you have 10 seconds to kiss your sweet ass goodbye.

If you inject yourself with a near fatal injection (say 3 bottles of Adnams Broadside) she will ignore you like water around a rock, and all will go smoothly.

Keep quiet. Any form of noise attracts Le Coq. No farting during shaving....

Plus Sputnik
NF Two band.
Palmolive in a tube.
Body shop prince as moisturiser.

Yrs

B Pitt.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 rebranded Macys badger (flopmeister)
'Webly'/Wilkinson Supersword Edge (NOS)
Xpec SC
Myrsol Emulsion used as aftershave
TGQ 'Leatherneck' extrait ( a top scent for me that's been extinct and I am almost totally out).

Man, this razor/blade combo is excellent. One of the older Wilkinson versions and whew......three great shaves so far. This brush ain't so hot with hard soaps but works well with the cream used today. Bought it because of the handle mainly.

Last 4-5 shaves have included the goofy Xpec product. I seem to have developed a slight jones for this what is probably an opiate based shaving cream. Sheeesh.

BBS results,

Martin
