MRGLO
Brass Knobbed Digress
Gillette Silver Blue
Vie Long Horse/Badger
Wickham Super Smooth Soap
VIBR A/S

My first time with the Digress - lent to me by a very generous friend - and I have to say "wow"! I love my progress, but the Digress feels like a serious step up in quality; it's hard to believe that it still has the same zamak base as the progress. The shave is superb as well, although I'll have to use it more to decide whether it shaves better than the progress.

It was also my first time using Fox's Wickham Super Smooth Soap. I was one of the lucky ones to trade him for his "mixed bag" sample, so the scent won't be identical to those sold. But I particularly noticed the Bay Rum and am fairly certain I picked out some of the Club Cola as well - a very nice combination!

The performance was superb. I feel that I had to use less soap than MWF and that it lathered very quickly. It's too early to say for sure, but it reminded me of the quick lathering of vintage Old Spice.

I don't know whether it was the soap, the razor or both, but I didn't get the slightest bit of "burn" from my alum or VIBR and had a totally BBS shave.

Well impressed with both, but will definitely need to use them for a bit to get a proper impression.
