S.O.T.D Saturday 16th November to Friday 22nd November 2013

Prep: Cold water splash
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush: Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger
Razor: Weber Polished / Bulldog
Blade: Polsilver SI (2)
Post: Clinique Post-Shave Healer
EdT: D R Harris Windsor

Success :)

Sunday afternoon:
Progress on 3
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
Nanny's warm spice
Coate's Fitzwilliam
Forest fresh
Weleda ASB

A good smooth shave with one of my favourite blades. I seem to be struggling with the Nanny's olive oil soaps though. When I first tried Ice & a Slice a week or so go, I got a fantastic lather and since then I have been struggling to get a mediocre lather at best.
I have got a small piece of Ice & a slice left so I think I need to try using that first, to see if it is the soap or just me/my technique.

Prep: Shower and Clinique face wash
Cream: TOBS Almond
Brush: NF Tubby 2
Razor: Ikon Slant
Blade: Polsilver SI (3)
Post: Proraso green AS
EdT: Chanel Allure Sport

Had been slightly underwhelmed by the Ikon until this shave - 3.5 days growth and it was like a hot knife through butter yet felt like there was no blade, hair just seemed to melt away with not the slightest hind of a tingle with the AS!

Gillette Tech / UFO Kaiser
Gillette 7oc SharpEdge (2)
Semogue SOC Finest
Martin de Candre scented
Weleda Post Shave Balm
Diptyque Philosykos edp

There was minimal stubble from last night's late but excellent shave, so I took a mild razor to it. The Tech's very much transformed when attached to this beast. Christ knows what a UFO Zeus or his other offerings would do to it.

I think I have my first ever ingrown hair on my left jawline - bloody annoyance it is too.

Tuesday morning:

Kropp 11/16"
Semogue 2000
D.R. Harris Levanter, soap
Face Lather
Neil Miller-2.5"Latigo Leather
L'Occitan by L'Occitane ASB
WTG, XTG & ATG (neck)

Have a wonderfull day!

Tuesday

Cella
New Forest Tubby 2
Aristocrat Junior
7 o'clock SharpEdge
TOBS Shaving Shop AS

Good shave, the cold water shaving is wearing a bit thin now. It's not the weather for it! Kettle of hot water tomorrow me thinks.

Monday evening

Clinique soap
Merkur Progress on 3
Croma Diamant
Semogue SOC boar
Vulfix lavender
Old Spice Whitewater

First time using a Croma blade. felt a touch rough, nothing serious but I certainly wouldn't describe it as smooth, however I ended up with an excellent shave with it so will be interesting to see what the 2nd shave tonight feels like with the blade.

Really need to use the Vulfix cream more often, really is excellent and quite possibly up there with my favourite creams.

Contine to be impressed with the Semogue SOC boar.

Tuesday:

Afternoon, everybody.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 with Bulldog handle
Blade: Derby (4)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: La Toja stick
Aftyershave: I Coloniali, Ebano Ebano

A good shave and a nice, warm-scented aftershave a chilly morning.

Tuesday ixx November, 2013

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Q10 Face Wash
Pre: Proraso White
Brush: Coates Fitzwilliam Pure Badger
Cream: Shulton Old Spice Original
Razor: Ikon Slant
Blade: Personna Lab Blue #3
Post: Alum, Lemon Tea Tree Mentholated WH, Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus ASB
Fragrance: Muehlens 4711

Result: Not sure that the Old Spice cream works for me very well, nice as the scent is. Anyway, an Ok shave, nothing to write home about. Shaving with the slant feels as if I am starting again somehow, having to re-learn angles and the topography of my face. It's pretty unforgiving at the moment.

All the best

Jon
