Stirling Black Cherry

Average result but very enjoyable

Word up, Schickheads!

Today is an anniversary shave of Schick's 1958 2911713 Injector Patent which pertains to models J onwards, M (Adjustables) excluded.

I chose an L: The Schick Stick.

Hot Towel
Wickham Soap Company Spice Trade (Super Smooth)
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Schick Stick - Schick Injector [2]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Mentholated Witch Hazel
Old Spice Aftershave Lotion
Next Absolute EDT

Bowl Lathered
Three Pass - WTG, then twice XTG in opposite directions

I've given injectors a bit of a break, having only really connected with them on the odd event I got something approaching a satisfactory shave.

Tonight, I nailed it! Boom! I got the angle spot on perfect and that was evident in the efficient clearing on the first pass, subsequent cross the grain passes finishing off the job.

Tonight was all about spice. I've been wearing Next Absolute today and being so warm out there, I thought it nice to carry on ... so, Wickham's new scent, Spice Trade, followed by an alum wash and mentholated witch hazel splash, then the genuine article: Old Spice. Lovely! Another spritz of Next Absolute and we're done.

Cracking shave, that ...

Palmolive/Erasmic mix, face lathered
Omega 10098
Gillette Superspeed Flare Tip
BIC Astor (2)
Cold rinse, witch hazel
Pinaud Clubman Musk

The Astor was good in the Superspeed. The only blade that I normallyuse in it is a Feather but the Astor was a close match. Considering I only had 23 hrs growth I'm pleased with the result.

This razor is just keeps on performing for me. So smooth but so efficient. Pleasantly surprised by the supermax blade. It's a very good blade and cheap to buy in bulk. Wickham soap was top notch again and the Myrsol blue has moved ahead of the balsamica in my list now.
