MWF + Krampert's Shave Enhancer
Match Play AS
Match Play EdT

After a rummage I came across my bottle of Krampert's Shave Enhancer - which I think is just a very concentrated form of his Bay Rum scent, designed to be added to lather. It really is a nice idea and the lather smelt great!

The Match Play scent is really good. I compared it to the original Lacoste, but I'm starting to think it's nicer than that (although it has been a while since I smelt it).

This is the brush that Graeme very kindly gave my and it truly is a soap killer! It ate the MWF up and made beautiful lather.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch rebranded Simpsons best
Parat/Personna74(NOS)
Klar Kabinett SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Tommy Bahama 'Martinique' cologne

The Parat looks like a superspeed, but luckily for me doesn't shave like one. This was a forum member's successful enabling attempt. Yeah, I like this thing. Using so sharp of a blade made me pay attention to detail but the shave was easy with no drama as it turned out. For some reason I got a smoother face than usual today.

BBS results,

Martin

Saturday

Afternoon, all.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ89 with iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: Sputnik (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Kell's Aloe and Hemp, Ancient Sedona
Aftershave: Pashana Bay Rum
Cologne: Versace Black Jeans

Although the shave felt a little rougher than last week's, the result was a clean and smooth face.

Cold water splash
La Toja Stick (grated, bowl lathered)
Shavemac 177 Silvertip
ATT M1 Kronos
Gillette Super Thin (2)
Myrsol Emulsion, Clinique M-Lotion

Not sure about Gillette's Super Thin blades. Wonderful slick lather from La Toja but I still ended up with slight irritation. Clinique M-Lotion to the recue!

Warm towel
Midas custom silvertip
GEM 1912 /de89
GEM SE/Rapira ss (3)
Tobs rose cream
Alum
Skin bracer
Black xs

First pass was extremely tuggy, had a decent shave with the gem a week ago but this one was awful. So I switched to the Edwin jagger with the Rapira blade. First time time I'd used these 2 together and achieved my best shave to date, very very close to bbs. Bit sore from the first pass though.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend chaps.
Steve
