Red Tip Super Speed, kindly lent to me by trainman and turned up before my shave this morning
'Red' Personna (third shave)
Nivea moisturising cream
Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
Prof. Blighty's Universal Shaving Balm, sandalwood (also turned up this morning)

Great first try with one of these razors. Wasn't sure how much more aggressive than a standard flare tip of the time it would be. Enough to make them worth buying!

My Red tip gives me one of the best shaves from the vintages I have tried so far.

I have woundered how more aggressive a red tip is my silver tip is not bad think I'll be checking one out:idea:

Gillette NEW (#77, I think)
Gillette Platinum (Swede) Blade
Semogue 2000 Brush
Palmolive Shaving Cream
Bulldog asb

I'd never owned or used a NEW before, and some recent chatter on here made me decide that I would like try to get a shaver grade example just to try and see what it's like.

I managed to get one from Pedro's recent "emptying the garage" sale. It is not a minter, it's in shaver-grade condition as I requested from him (he's very helpful, you know), but the shave this morning with it was really impressive. I just did one pass with some touch up, but I am very impressed with how the shave felt and the result. I've been shunning vintage DE razors recently, but I can understand why the NEW has many fans.
