Another one: what's going on?

SOTD131211_1.jpg

Semogue 2009 LE boar brush; Buddel 5/8 in amboyna scales; P.160 soft soap; Tabac aftershave.

What a absolute beauty Andy, that Buddel looks drop dead gorgeous.

Regards Jamie.

Another Supermax day today.
Gillette Slim Twist/Gillette Fat Boy on 5.
The Twist was comfortable enough but after two passes the shave wasn't nearly close enough. Fatboy on 5 sorted it (another 2 passes though)

This morning:

Imperial Leather soap
Feather Artist Club RG (wood), ProGuard blade (6)
Taylor's
Jermyn Street soap
Neep English Yew Badger
Trumper's Coral skin food
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet cologne

Very close and completely trouble-free. Re-tried what I think is Arrowhead's method of face lathering then bowl lathering with the remainder while that first application dwells. Very pleasant and relaxing.

Wednesday morning, two days growth as I'd let my face recover after a bad shave on Monday morning

Hot shower
Proraso pre/post
Merkur 39c
Feather
MWF
Alum
Pinaud Clubman

First time using MWF and I have to say I loved it. Face lathered and got a great slick lather. Once again nicked a mole I have near my adam's apple, bled like a good 'un!

Hot Cloth
Merkur 38B
Polsilver (1)
TOBS Shaving Shop Cream
Kent BK4
Floid Blue

2 passes, very smooth, no issues at all.

Two newcomers to the rotation today.

Polsilver blade was very nice indeed, I don't remember being this impressed with a new blade choice since I tried my first Feather about a month ago.

TOBS Shaving Shop was also a debutant for me today. I'll preface this by saying I'm a big fan of Taylor's Creams and have found the performance to be equal, so any comparison between the range is based purely on scent. The Shaving Shop is certainly pleasant enough, but the scent is fairly mild, almost non-existant. It just smells soapy, which is no bad thing. I think, given the wonderful scents of others in the range though, that it's less likely I will replace it once it's used up. Glad I made the trade for it though, as I'm keen to try the entire TOBS range as soon as I possibly can.

Wednesday

Feather AC-SS
Feather Proguard Blade
New Forest 2201 Brush
Penhaligon's English Fern Shaving Soap
L'Occitane Cade asb

The Cade asb is getting a little bit more action now that the weather is getting a bit colder. The AC is still good, although my chin cleft is causing some issues.
