Dovo Prima Silver Steel 5/8
Vie Long Horse/Badger
Nanny's Ice & a Slice
Alum
Old Spice Whitewater

An awesome shave, I would say that the Dovo is probably my favourite razor at the moment. I think I shall be using this soap for a few days to learn how to get the best from it.

Preparation: Nivea face wash. Consistency like toothpaste gel, but nice to use
Shaving brush: Omega syntex 90065
Shaving cream: St James of London Founders Reserve
Razor: Merkur 25C open comb
Blade: Feather
Post shave balm: The Real Shaving Company 'Professional'. Cheap, a bit runny, but okay. Remember to keep the tube on its side or upside down in a cup.

The question: what is ATG on the neck area? Here I have found that it is to shave from the areas below the ear to chin. XTG is upwards or downwards, WTG is shaving across from chin to neck areas below the ear.

The Merkur 25C is a very mild razor to use.

P160
NF2201
RocketHD with a Gillette yellow
Witch hazel

I'd fallen out with the yellows and hadn't used them in a while, but decided to give them another go, I'm glad I did, smooth as buttered rum.

Mine is similar except that on the left side it goes out, not in - it's uniformly leftwards sweeping around my neck. Makes going atg with a straight rather challenging...

This morning:

Imperial Leather soap
Feather Artist Club RG (wood), ProGuard blade (4)
Taylor's Lemon and Lime cream
Neep English Yew Badger
Trumper's Coral skin food
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet cologne

A lovely pleasurable shave. Still need to find a way to get closer on the neck, with my awkward sideways growth...

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Simpson, Polo 8
Razor: C V Heljestrand, 9½
Soap: MdC
AS: Old Spice, Fresh Lime (Shulton blend)
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Close to Uberclose :D

Two days of stubble annihilated and how nice wasn't that :). I used the lather as post treatment as well, while taking care of the gear, sooo good and this 1/4 grind razor's what legends are made of - all in all a very nice shave!

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
1958 Executive/Iridium
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Barbershop Bay Rum AS
Tommy Bahama 'Martinique' cologne

Been a while since using the Iridium blade in my go to razor and man....these really are good ones. Reminded me once again why the Iridium's a favorite of mine in most any razor I use.

BBS results,

Martin

Tabac soap
Semogue Owners Club boar in Cherrywood
Bartmann straight razor
Old Spice aftershave lotion
444 aftershave balm
Old Spice Eau de Toilette
