SOTD
Pre The Cube
Gillette Aristocrat OC with KCG blade.
Simpson T3 brush.
MSC Vintage Spice soap.
Old Spice AS.
My Beard Conditioner and face balm.

First time out with this razor and soap, and I'm gobsmacked just how smooth the razor is. It's a little worn, but at around 80 years old, I'd expect it to be.
The soap was very good and provided a really slick shave, along with the pleasant scent of old spice. Super smooth!
Happy Shaving

Wow, 1st Gen Aristocrat OC. I'm too chicken for that...

Even when life has nothing to do I manage to find something which needs doing and hence an SOTD goes missing. To make up for it though I present you with last night's shave which comes delivered with the theme, 'A photo never lies'

Except this one does

Pornographic photo - Ikon B1
Photo me booth - Polsilver Lodz
Private photos - Cadman 24mm Tuxedo
What the butler saw - Penhaligons Bayolea soap
Selfie photo - Simple moisturiser
Cock photo - Extro Arzachena splash

Shaved yesterday evening then drove over to Yorkshire for a few days. Completely forgot to take a photo so just threw some random bits in the sink and voila, an SOTD photo which has Jack shit connection to last night. See, it lies.

What I do remember though is what a damn good piece of shower room activity it was. Finished to the usual Ikon expectation and smelling divine. Enough to sit by myself in the car for two hours and think how damn sexy I must be. Good job I was on my own as no one else would ever agree the same.

In passing, the Arzachena is a pretty good replacement for the Bayolea splash since it went the way of 'finished' and in to the ranks of unobtanium.

And some kind of Puffyshoes copy to end on and it only takes me to say 'I love you all'

May 18. 2023.

Milky May.

Razor - Sheild Predator
Blade - Gem - fresh blade
Soap - La Savonnire du moulin
Brush - Alpha - Betahive silvertip badger
Post - Refinery ASB

This was the first time I've used this razor, I've asked Shane at Blackland if he would ever make a titanium Sabre but I don't think it's going to happen so I took a chance on this Chinese copy and I have to say it's very good indeed, it's very nimble and effective at mowing down stubble.
The tricky part is lining up the head with the handle without cross threading the very small section of threaded post but with a steady hand and a little patience it can be done!
My first use of this brush also, like all of Alpha's brushes it's a quality bit of kit and a pleasure to hold and it looks fantastic!
The soap is wonderful and I'm really enjoying using this one day and the wonderful Sig Soaps Capra the next, I'm loving Milky May!
I'm really enjoying using the Gem blades again and all the razors that are made for their use.
A really enjoyable shave, super smooth skin that feels nourished by the soap.

Until the next time, stay safe and shave happy!

Paul.

Thank you all gentlemen you are all very kind.

Unfortunately, my day, (while at work) was not happy.
Technical issues caused a nearly two hour delay, and my afternoon was spent digging a 200 metre long trench, installing weld mesh, and back-filling . . . . .all to keep furry creatures out of an Amazon fulfillment centre!!

I'm now off work for 11 days. Myself and Mrs L are to spend 7 nights in Combe Martin - Roll on Saturday!!
Belated birthday wishes and have a wonderful time in Combe Martin. :)

Razor R41 2011 version
Brush Yaqi aqua with Tuxedo knot
Blade Shark
Soap Stirling Haverford
Aftershave Stirling Haverford
Post Shave Balm Nivea

I have not shaved for a few days so I broke out the Shark to mow down my designer stubble. ( well that's what I call it when the wife moans )
This razor ticks all the boxes in the excitement factor kinda like taking a highly tuned Ferrari out for a burn.
You can stop after one pass as it's always nearly bbs but two will definitely make your face shine.
The Stirling Haverford really is floating my boat with a lovely slick lather and nice post shave feel to my face.
The Nivea is new to me and I brought it this week from Wilkos because all Nivea is in a sale atm. It's a great cream that does not leave my head or face greasy so definitely give a bottle of this a go.
I am now smelling as awesome as I look and ready to chase the wife.
Have a great evening everyone.

SOTN (Head & Face)

Face - Greencult 2.0 Razor (plate 2)
Head - Leaf razor
Personna Super/Lab Blue blades
Nivea Pro Sensitive Ultra Calming shave cream
Alpha. Outlaw brush (G5D knot)
Proraso Green splash
La Roche Posay B5 Balm

Been one of those weeks with work and I've been full of cold, tonight it was only ever going to be a quick shave in the shower or no shave at all - a stance I may come to regret on my face but time will tell. Did get a chance to take the Greencult for its initial spin after it arrived today though, given the half a#*#d outing it got I'm actually quite impressed and think we'll get along fine. In photos I didn't much care for the look of this razor, have to say though it's much better looking in person .

Fri 19
Soap & Aftershave Yaqi Lemon Lime Cedarwood
Brush Yaqi 24mm Cavern Lake
Razor Rene Cheron Chatellerault Rattler
This soap & splash is numbingly cold... the brush is excellent!
This rattler is really lightweight. Stroped on the roo leather, the edge is crisp & smooth enough in 2 passes for a bbs-ccs finish...
