Cairo is a beautiful scent! Nice pick!

It's done, decision made; so, the NOS fat handled Gillette tech was unwrapped and loaded with a blue blade for that 'authentic' experience.
I wouldn't say that it's the smoothest shave I have had, but I would say that I've definitely had THE most satisfying shave that I can recall. I'm still smiling. I took my time, did 3 passes and pick-ups as I wanted to keep going! The new Yaqi brush was a cracker too. I'm super smooth and looking forward to my boring work day ahead.

Thanks to everyone that commented on the acquisition thread, certainly helped me realise that I did indeed buy it to use it!

Have a good one!
Gary

Prep: Warm shower
Brush: PAA Peregrino
Soap: Stirling Ramblin' Man
Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post: Cold Water and Stirling Ramblin' Man Splash & Balm

New delivery of Stirling, remarkably haven't tried the brand before. Good performance and really like the scent. Not too in your face so could easily be used daily. Grand finish and no irritation, not that that happens frequently anyway. Wish I had tried the brand before, but I think the sheer number of options put me off previously.

Smooth and ready for the day!

Hope everyone has a grand day of it.

Cheers

Marc

I’m going for a simple shower shave today, and as it’s been a while since I’ve used LEA Classic soap and aftershave, it gets a run-out. It’s very good but has an oakmoss scent and I prefer the fresh aqua scent of the non-classic shave stick and balm.

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves!

Music: dlp 1.1 from The Disintegration Loops, William Basinski.

A lovely shave today; aided and abetted in no small part by Brian’s soap, which thrived in the Trafalgar synth. Smooth and smelling very 1950s (in a good way).

As it’s coming up for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, I thought I’d listen to the above. For those that are interested, the cultural significance of Basinski’s The Disintegration Loops is well documented.

For all fallen firefighters (and those that are still falling), families, loved ones and friends that have been lost…
