SOTD: Saturday 25th September - Friday 1st October 2021.

Birthday #48 shave
Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap (gift from mother-in-law)
Yaqui sagrada
ATT S1/Astra blue
Alum
Old spice

Very pleased with the Mitchell's soap (face lathering)... it's like spreading butter... No real need for me to look any further soap-wise (but of course I will).
And the Old Spice AS gives to my skin the vintage smell that, given its age, it's bound to have!
Cheers to all
Marcello

And a belated birthday wish from here

A come day go day shave complete with the theme 'The Randomness of the long distance shaver'

20210927_002112.jpg

Any old razor - Claymore Evolution
Off the cuff blade - Feather Super Professional
Who cares what brush? - Muhle ivory
Thoughtless soap - ADP Collezione Barbierre

Thrown together in a fit of Randomness. Thrown on my face with even more of that random stuff. Haphazardly removed in a random manner by any old razor and voila ici.

One smashing shave

'Oh look. A baby and jar of mayonaise!'

And I leave you with those self proclaimed trash rock girls 'Bed in' and some random song. They still baffle me, but to be honest Mai Chosonji ain't too bad a guitarist.

My love to you all

Wed 29 SOTD
Soap Stirling Ozark Mountain
Brush Yaqi 24mm Clear Handle Synthetic
Razor Yaqi Slant on a RR BarberPole handle
Blade Vintage Polsilver Super Stainless 2nd + Double Shim
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Lemon + HA + Stirling Iced Pineapple
I like this soap scent...not sure can be extended to the AS. The soap lather is the usual nice creamy and slick...
This shave with the razor paired with the blade was just acceptable. Lots of chattering...especially on the atg pass despite using double shims. Results were sas only. Aftershaves were awesome though.

Prep: Warm shower
Brush: Lemon Drop Boar
Soap: OSP Belgravia
Razor: Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade: Blue Star (2)
Post: Cold Water and OSP Belgravia

Day two with the Blue Star, first WTG stroke...holy shit what the hell happened to this overnight. Thought ok maybe I went in a bit steep...nope nope. Look down to check whether I'd loaded a broken beer bottle...ah...I'm a pillock. There's the blade sitting quite happily on top of the posts, loaded correctly and there we have it, smooth and comfortable shave. Lesson learnt, wake up then shave!

Apply the belgravia splash, unsurprisingly stings like the night after a Vindaloo! Oh well, decent finish but more redness then I've ever experienced before!

Hope everyone has a better shave and a grand day!

Cheers

Marc

Soap - Signature Leodis ( courtesy of Brian H / TSR samples pass around and I appreciate @gthe for sending them on to me. Thank you all )
Bowl - Fine Lather Bowl
Brush - Razorock Bruce 24mm
Razor - Merkur 34C
Blade - Dorco Titan (3)
A/S & Balm - Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol

Usually shave only 2 / 3 times a week but after receiving the Signature samples I was keen to get lathering so I decided to throw in a mild one today.
Started trying out the samples with Leodis and it lathered up thick and creamy in no time. Clean, slightly earthy scent but fresh at the same time to my nose. Very pleasant and it performed great.
3 passes with pick ups. Third use with the Dorco and it worked well in the 34C but I won't push it any further.
Very nice shave and I'll look forward to checking out the other soap samples.

Wed 29th September

RR. SE- Plissoft noir
Williams Mug soap
Claymore Evolution
Feather Pro ( 7 )
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

Just finished trialling The Evo, and had 7 consecutive Shaves. I find it to be very smooth and efficient yet forgiving, a great surprise to me as I had more or less stopped using a Feather blade. The Razor is very manoeuvreable, and is great around the nostrils and chin tip, as well as the neck, a definite keeper.
