Hey NatJag....happened to me too at times...especially when the razor and blade combination is not good. More because of the DE blades but certain razors can be too mild even with a feather blade.Still managed to find a few rough patches 30-60 mins later. Anyone else find that?
Yes , It grows on me everytime I use it , Pernod I haven't been able to touch that in a long timeIs that better than Pernod!
Every timePre - Shower / Face wash
Cream - GFT Eucris
Brush - RazoRock Bruce
Razor - Merkur 34
Blade - Personna Red (4)
Post - Alum followed by GFT Skin food. Some moisturiser with SPF about 30 mins later.
A nice three pass shave with a few pick-ups. I don't usually bother doing pick-ups unless I've a long day ahead, which I haven't. No feedback from Mr Alum. Still managed to find a few rough patches 30-60 mins later. Anyone else find that?

Not sure where to start - lets change three variables at the same time - as you are told not to do - but hey - f**k it - rules are made to be broken. Who can resist new shaving porn? In reverse order - I own other RazoRock aftershaves - this one was - as I might expect of the brand - a nice 'ooft' from the alcohol as it went on - I notice it has castor oil in the ingredients - as said before - always works for my skin - good longevity of scent - tobacco forward - very good indeed for me - I can still smell it some 6 hours on. I'd definitely consider the soap to match. My first use of an Extro soap - it was not a disappointment - I now realise it deserves the high praise it mostly gets - I'd buy another - without doubt. Stupidly easy to lather - nice heavy glass jar - fits well in the hand as you load - although you wouldn't want to drop it on your foot accidentally. I don't own any other product that is described as oudh - so I have no benchmark - but it comes across as woody (he -he heh heh heh - sorry - Beavis and Butthead moment - he said woody) - resinous, musky and exotic - if that makes any sense. Very much a masculine scent. Finally - yes - finally - the Yaqi brush - was a revelation to me - on first look the handle is - obviously - gorgeous - ergonomic in my big hands, but I had little expectation of the knot - too soft for face lathering - or so I thought - how wrong was I? - it performed spectacularly well - the short loft really saves it - feels amazing on the face - lather like I seldom see - it won't replace my badgers but - the second synth knot - after an AP Shave SilkSmoke - I have actually enjoyed using. Combined with the Extro soap - and the Santa Maria - no need for any post balm - my skin - still - feels amazing. Job done. Take care - one and all - lets not take our eye off the ball - safety wise - yours - I.
@Boycie83 - cheers - what is the type of synthetic knot in that brush? I tried to look it up - but my browser - Firefox - which is ramped up to the nines with security stuff - script and ad blockers, anti-trackers etc - has a fit when I point it at Ali Express - as they do with me. They won't let me into or reset my account. Possibly somewhat ironic - as I use a Huawei phone.
