Tuesday 11th September

Hot Shower and facial scrub
Vitos Pre/Post shave cream
Merkur Futur/Feather
Semogue Caravela Brush
Tweex shave stick
Alum Block
Unrefined Shea Butter
L'Occitane Verdon EDT
Dax Super Neat

My second use of the Caravela....and it still stinks. It is a great brush however and definitely a keeper. I really should stop collecting brushes. They really must be used!

3 Pass BBS.

Tuesday:

Merkur 34C
Lord Platinum (4)
Omega boar brush
Tabac stick
Tabac AS balm

The Lord blade was better after its first use and switched to Merkur from Lord razor on day 3. Maybe next time I'll first "cork" the Lord blade or hand strop. I have always found the Gillette Platinum a superb and long-lasting blade, needing no prior treatment.

Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm

Sometimes I get my chin just right and tonight was one of those times :p

Had an excellent shave tonite. Just the opposite of last evening. Yesterday thought id try an interesting sounding and smelling soap from a small US maker. Green Tobacco and Black Tea. Great lather, wonderful fragrance and towards the end of the shave a nice Burn. Never really happened to me before. Washed it off used alum and witch hazel, balms still felt it for a good 3-4 hrs. So tonite back to:
Razor: Gra'Fin 172 Gunmetal made in Germany.
Brush: badger
Soap: Lucky Tiger Liquid Cream Soap
A wonderful soap for those who might try it. Very cushioned, fragrant, mild.
Alum
AS: Lucky Tiger. Again very nice
Balm: Nivea Replenishing [attachment=5589]
Great shave. Glad I didn't wait till tomorrow.

Great shave last night:

Proraso pre/post sensitive
Omega 48
Edwin Jagger soap sensitive
Mergress
Astra green
Alum
Nivea sensitive balm

I always use alum after but I'm struggling to get a decent balm. Hopefully the new Blightys balm I've ordered will be the solution.

Wednesday:

Zuri Sandalwood and Vanilla soap
Vulfix 660
Muhle R89/Weber Bulldog
Gillette 7 o'clock green (3)
Pinaud Vanilla AS

Great shave, smooth, comfortable and very close.

Quick face wash
Proraso pre/post
Vitos coconut
M&F blonde badger
Feather SS with Pro
GEM bullet-tip for clean up ATG
La Toja AS
Floris Santal ASB

Very clean. Getting there, Feather is definitely fun.

Wednesday:
Gillette HD Rocket (aluminium handle)
Personna, Red pack
Edwin Jagger BBB
Mitchell's Wool Fat
Serge Lutens Fourreau Noir <--- A very smokey lavender

Wednesday

Following yesterday's cut it's all change chez moi.

Gillette Fat English Tech
Red Personna SS (1)
Simpsons Wee Scot
Omega Soap

Harvard ASB
Forest Fresh AS

Three pass, face lather.

I needed a mild shave and this was just the donkey's!

Mild razor and blade made the top lip look less like a butcher's block; the Omega soap (1st time out) was excellent and the Scottie easily up to the task as always.

A terrific shave actually.

Wednesday

Gillette Sensor Excel
Edwin Jagger Silvertip Brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Proraso a/s splash

Quick, easy, good result.

There's a pattern emerging.
