Thursday

Gillette Sensor Excel
Edwin Jagger Silvertip Brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Proraso a/s splash

Quick, easy, good result.

Vinny, not only did the bogyman hide my DE razors, he sold two of them!

Greetings

Thursday 13th September 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick Type I
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Lijun/Burma Shave Boar
Soap: Cella
Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm

First ever use of Cella, delivered to me yesterday as part of the group buy, first impressions are all good. I was surprised just how soft it is, more an extra heavy duty cream than a soap. I love the Marzipan smell. It has to be one of the easiest soaps I have used to lather; I face lathered. It seems to provide super glide and the lather 'stood up well'. Really nice soap; thanks Ids.

Regards
Dick.

decided to use the cella as part the group buy today.

Gem G bar SE
Modern Gem blade
semogue OC boar
Cella
Sudocrem

not a bad shave but I'm not getting out the SE what I get from the a DE, expect to see the g bar and a 1912 set with an unusual handle later on the BST.

Liberating, isn't it?

Sort of. I have done it before and then gone back to DE, but it feels that it may "stick" for longer this time.

4 Sensor shaves on the trot, and the shaves and results are so consitant and just plain excellent that I find myself questioning the whole DE thing.

Then I go and re-buy a Feather AC SS!

Proraso Pre.
Valobra Stick.
Semogue 830.
Wilkinson Classic.
Feather Blade.
Boots Witch Hazel Gel.

Well that did not work as well as i had hoped. I had forgotten how light this
razor was so had to watch the pressure. Not to bad in the end but a lot of
passes to get a close one.

Thursday 13th September

Hot Shower and Facial scrub
Vitos Pre/Post shave cream
Sanguine Tribal Coolblade/Bic
Semogue Caravela Badger/Boar Brush
Culmak Soap
Alum Block
Unrefined shea butter
Lavender Water
Black & White Light Pomade

The Sanguine shavette is actually very good. A rather nice blade exposure makes it quite simple to use. A fast 3 pass BBS.

Vitos coconut shaving soap
Progress on 2, 1 with Jian Yu blade

(thanks Bechet45)
Lots of cold water so I can smell the lovely coconut Vitos for longer!
Despite going brown this soap is as great as ever. In fact, since I haven't used it for some months and my lathering is more consistent, it's better than ever.

First of the Chinese blades. Picked this at random. It's very smooth. Glides over the face with only the slightest hint of tugging on the first pass. Glides after that. Great result after four passes and touch-ups. If I were to offer a criticism it would be that my top twenty-odd blades would take fewer passes to achieve the same result but I got there easy enough and didn't burn my face with it. I would recommend it and wouldn't say it wasn't sharp.
