Morning, gents.

Tuesday:

Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (4)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Mama Bear's Bay Rum

Cologne: Azzuro pour Homme

Lovely shave, just lovely.

Trumpers Sandalwood shaving cream
Henk walnut silvertip
Rotbart No. 20 with Personna Lab Blue
M&S Woodspice Amber a/s balm

Really good. Easy to use the Rotbart. Milder than I was expecting but not too mild. Weight, balance, and the length and handle width very nice. Definitely a keeper.

Pre Veleiro soap + Provence Santé soap + Pascualete TGN Finest 26 mm. brush + Merkur-Pearl "Frankenrazor" with Iridium Super #1 + Provence Santé splash

A good shave with this "powdery" french soap! And I liked much this "Frankenrazor" very good combination!

Cheers!

Prep: Hot shower and luke-warm towel soak
Razor: Joseph Elliot 6/8
Razor: Gillette Slim
Blade: NOS Scottish Perma-Sharp
Brush: Heisheng 24mm Pure Badger
Soap: MWF + Ingram + Glycerin + Krampert's Shave Enhancer
A/S: Homemade "Jameson" batch followed by Old Spice
Result: My first time using a straight, so I stuck to my cheeks and lower neck area with my newly honed razor (by Neil). I felt I did really well - no irritation or cuts and a DFS on these areas.

I used my Slim to finish the trouble areas, it was my first time with this razor as well and I can understand the hype it gets - really easy to use and great shave!

What a lovely razor the Ever Ready versions of this razor are uncommon enough compared to the GEM version but the Gold ER version, you certainly don't see many of those. Am I right in thinking ER called it the De-Luxe set, natural angle razor?

Smashing! Don't ever sell it (unless it's to me!)

Regards
Dick.

Not my best work this morning

Sudocream

Well that was a bit of a let down.I now remember why I put this razor
In the back of the drawer. It is so mild that no matter how many passes
You do it will never give a smooth result.A very clever design though
But I think it will be back to proper razor and blades tomorrow. I was
Going to try all my old cart razors I found in the cupboard the weekend
But the face is showing signs of distress already which I why I changed
To DE shaving in the first place.

Hot shower, Dove men +care face scrub

Warm splash
Vitos Supercrema suribachi lathered
Omega 10065
Super Adjustable on 4, NOS Schick Ultra Platinum (1)

Alum, Witch Hazel, Superdrug Sierran Breeze ASL, Astral moisturiser.

Very good shave. Happy man.

Wednesday x March 2013

Good Morning all.

Prep: Shower, Arran Aromatics Lavender & Tea Tree Facial Wash
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage & Cedar Stick
Brush: Grosvenor 404 Bodger
Razor: Merkur 46C Travel Razor in open comb mode
Blade: Rapira Super Stainless #3
Post: Thayers Medicated WH, Nivea Q10 ASB
Fragrance: Acqua di Parma Colona Intensa Eau de Cologne

Result: Adapted my little Merkur 46C by replacing base plate with an open comb. Felt very nice, although this was shave #3 for the Rapira so time for a change. I may try to squeeze one more shave out of it. The Ogallala is proving to be a challenge to getting the water / soap ratio correct, but will keep working on it. I love the scent.

Good day to you all.
