Have a nice day!

Wednesday:
Gillette Fusion ProGlide
Proraso foam
Aramis 900 EDT

Shaved handlebar tache off last night. I'm off work all week and when I get bored I do daft things ... like play hide and seek with nextdoor's cat (he's hopeless), dress up like Freddie Mercury when doing the hoovering and see how many bags of crisps I can eat in 3 minutes.

I ran out of crisps so shaved off the tache ... only the tache ... I now look like Hellboy.

Wednesday:

Ingram's cream
Semogue SOC Boar
Gem Clog-Pruf
Gem blade
Witch Hazel
Proraso AS
Nivea Anti-irritation ASB
L'Occitane Baux EdT

Minty fresh shave this morning. Nice and smooth.

Greetings

Wednesday 27th March 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM 1912 Damaskeene
Blade Treet Carbon
Brush: Semogue 620 Boar
Soap: Palmolive Stick grated into a container
Aftershave: RSC Balm

Second shave with the Treet blade and this shave felt a little 'tuggy', a perfect shave in terms of closeness but my face feels a little tender because of all the touching up required. I will try a third shave tomorrow but fear the blade may be finished.

Regards
Dick.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
1970s Schick M type adjustable injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Boots AS Balm
The Gentlemens Quarter 'Leatherneck' extrait

This morning I showed this blade the respect needed to avoid any red marks after the shave.

BBS results,

Martin

Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
ATT M1 / JEC handle in Copper
Morris & Forndran stubby 2XL
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm
Montale Black Aoud

Damn my weakness for shiny things :icon_rolleyes:

Skins been a tad dry of recent so back to using the proraso pre, not sure if it really does add anything or if its psychological but all together a rather enjoyable shave.

Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Brush: Shaving.ie Silvertip
Blade: GEM PTFE SE blade
Soap: Proraso Red
Post-Shave: Alum
A/S: Old Spice
Result: This blade is still going strong. For the first time in a while, 1 pass was sufficient for a DFS, with a touch of buffing round the mouth and chin. Still loving this razor.

Strop Kanayama Cordovan #8000

Barbershop Bay Rum
RSC balm

Wednesday 27/03/13
EJ DE87
Personna med
EJ best badger
Palmolive stick
L'Occitane Cade ASB

3 passes, mostly BBS, took a while to get good lather, and rather felt like it was jerking a bit (skin felt squeaky, rather than smooth for gliding) Cade smells good though

Hot shower
Hot flannel
DR Harris Arlington cream scuttle lathered
Simpsons Commodore x3 best badger brush
Muhle R89 Rose gold handle
Voskhod (1)
Cold rinse
Witch hazel
DR Harris Arlington aftershave

Close and comfortable shave today. The R89 is new to me, bought from Connaught last week and first time out today. The handle in Rose gold looks good and has a good grip. The Voskhod is a sharp and efficient blade.
