The weekend has arrived again, and the weather is awful. A nice relaxed shave is required to wake me up and make me face the world. :)

Thank God it's the weekend!
Comfortable shave but left my skin a little dry. The Nivea ASB might be cheap but it works for me and the Lavandula is drying down to a fantastic scent as I type.

This could be the first Malle offering I'm underwhelmed by! I don't dislike it at all, but it's like an emasculated Musc Ravageur at three moment. I'm waiting got the purported sandalwood (they've made a big thing about using sustainable mysore rather than concocting/synthesising) to come through and make things more interesting.

Today there were some problems, as the blade was in bad state with only two uses! First time it happened to me with an Astra... so I must change it.

Appart from that, Shaving Shop range have a lovely scent for me!

Saturday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Lord L122
Blade: Dorco (1)
Brush: Soap Shed Super Badger
Shave cream: Kiss My face unscented
A/S: Pashana

Good, easy shave.
 
Preshave : hot water and soap face wash
Brush : men - u boar brush from boots
Cream : derby original
Razor : gillette aluminium handled tech
Blade : palm stropped derby extra
Post shave : cold water

2 passes ( WTG & ATG)
Result. Not quite BBS, but smooth all the same. I personally prefer hard soaps and face lathering to creams, but the derby cream came free with some blades
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1958 Executive/Wilkinson Super Sword Edge (NOS)
Surrey SS (early version well before the reformulation)
Boots AS Balm
Floris 'Santal' EdT

Used my favorite brush and one of my favorite razor/blade combos. Used what's probably my favorite soap or cream. This particular batch is tough to come by, with what I believe to be a tallow base. The scent is almost gone, except for an extremely pleasant light soapy/marine sorta scent. Really charming in a subtle way.

Poifect BBS results.

Very good. The slip on this soap is excellent and the scent nice, clean and subtle
 
Must be the weather. About time I got the camera out again.
So it's Ingram, our Steve's Bay Rum, a Tech/Lord hybrid and red personna and an early sample two band brush which didn't make production. But it's high loft - 58mm - still gives adequate backbone.
