Monday

Feather AC SS
Feather Proguard Blade
Edwin Jagger Silvertip Brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap
Proraso A/S

I didn't shave on Sunday, so the Feather had to remove 2 days growth. No problem at all.

Greetings

Monday 24th September 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Micromatic OC
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Omega 10810 Boar
Soap: Cella
Aftershave: RSC Balm

Wonderful shave, second use of this blade, which to my mind is the best shave of all from these blades, although they do seem to give me five shaves.

Regards
Dick.

RE: SOTD Sat 22th Sept to Frid 28st Sept 2012 ...

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch Ever Ready badger
'Webly'/Feather
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Barbershop Bay Rum AS
RL 'Safari' EdT (old juice)

Second time using this new to me brush. Not all that much backbone, so it takes a little longer to load up with soap. Soft on my face while working up the lather, and the knot holds enough wonderfulness for my 4+ passes.

The razor/blade combo is great set up for me. The Webly is one of the few heads that tames the Feather about perfectly.

BBS results,

Martin

A nice two pass shave today. Lots of prep means hardly any post shave worked needed and no irritation.

Face soak with hot water
Face wash with Bulldog face wash
Soak again
St James of London pre-shave oil
T&H soap applied with a Traditional Shaving Company best badger brush
Merkur 25C, two days into a Derby blade
A final lathering washed off with hot water
Face washed again with Bulldog face wash and hot water
Cold water soak
Boots Freshwood balm

Lovely job!

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Neep
Razor: Heljestrand M K no 7 in custom horn scales w silver inlays (cheers Neil!)
Soap: Tabac
AS: Old Spice Musk, Shulton formula
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

Love the Tabac lather - classic, cheap and excellent slip + cushion and combined with the Helje it gave a fantastic shave :D

RE: SOTD Sat 22th Sept to Frid 28st Sept 2012 ...

EJ DE86 (SWMBO's cos' my brother pinched mine) with a single shim and BIC Chrome blade
EJ Super Badger
Ingram's cream
Cold water rinse followed by the best bit of the whole shave.....
Barbershop Bay Rum!
Astral cream (the tiniest smear)

Result was the best DE shave I've had yet. The shim means I don't have to keep touching up areas and rasping my skin (thanks Celestino!). So far, so excellent with these blades and the Ingram's just goes from strength to strength for me. However, the barbershop Bay Rum was an absolute revelation. After being less than impressed when I first sniffed it and put some on my unwashed face, I was astonished by how efficient, soothing and cooling it was after the usual refreshing post-Ingrams cold water rinse. Hardly used any cream afterwards and it was probably just habit putting it on. Even ran some BR through my hair! Immediately ordered more from Steve and that just about says it all.
