SOTD sat 21 july through to fri 27th july.

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap, cold
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (21)
Razor: Joseph Allen 6/8" Extra hollow ground
Brush: Simpson Tulip T2 in two-band Super
Soap: La Toja stick
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Red Ginger

Brush and soap performed excellently. Admittedly I had two days' growth, but after three passes with the Allen I was still visibly unshaven. Finished up with the Feather.

After finishing, noted the Allen was too blunt to put a slice in the bath sponge I sometimes use with a new Feather blade to take the initial over-sharpness off. A second stropping improved matters a little. Perhaps this blade actually needs stropping mid-shave to get through a two-day beard?

Or perhaps it's just plain blunt.

MONDAY EVENING

Weber DLC head with UFO Godzilla handle
Bolzano Superinox (3)
Simpsons Hive Manchurian badger
Proraso green bowl - scuttle lathered
Witch hazel
Institut Karite balm

A shave that was as good as it reads, fully justifying (ahem) my purchase of a Weber ARC head for 'research' purposes.
