SOTD sat 21 july through to fri 27th july.

MdC - M&F - Feather AC SS - Aqua Velva

d4cd2527.jpg

First time out for the Feather, loaded with a ProGuard blade. I've tried a couple of straight shaves before and have generally ended up with nicks, rawness and a not very close shave, so I was a bit apprehensive. However, it was relatively successful. Two WTG passes left me with a pretty decent shave. A few tiny blood spots and some bits missed around the chin, jawline and neck but the rest of the shave was not far from what I achieve with a DE. I'm pleased.

Pre shave - Arko
Razor - Muhle '11 R41
Blade - 7o'clock (yellows)
Brush - G.O.S.H Heritage
Soap - Truefitt + Hill Luxury S/S
A/S - Boots Witch Hazel gel followed by Tabac A/S lotion

HORRIBLE!! now I remember why the T+H was shoved to the back of the draw!! I will have to try the 'yellow' again using a soap I can trust.... the 'yellow' felt rough on my skin, I achieved BBS but at a price... it was in a Muhle '11 R41 after all. So the T+H will now be used for shaving me noggin, and the 'yellow' will get another shot using one of the tallows... :-/

Have a nice week,

No pre-shave
Monsavon shaving soap
Progress on 5 with Polsilver Stainless
Professor Blighty's Universal Shaving Balsalm, Tuxedo

Thought I'd try something a bit different. I usually go for a low setting but today I thought with a blade like the Polsilver I could go for the deftest touch on top setting and get either a BBS or a sandpaper bloodbath. Fortunately it was the latter.
Excellent!
