SUNDAY EVENING

UFO Godzilla handle with Weber ARC head
Kent V4 brush
On a positive note, this old Kent brush is great. I reckon once it's broken in it's going to be fabulous. Although the hair is Super badger it's going a really nice bit of 'scritch' at the tips and isn't too floppy which means it's great for both bowl and face lathering.

Saw that brush in another post. I'm glad it performs well.....nice looking little thing.

Thank you for not posting a razor pic today, as I would be jealous.

Congrats on adding the vintage Kent to your shaving arsenal.

Prep: Shower
Brush: Polo 8 by Simpson
Razor: Friodur
Cream: Castle Forbes, Limes
AS: Alcolado Glacial
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean

Ahh - what a lovely shave and shower after 12 hrs of sweating out what ever's in my system (need some time more to recover, but boy does it feel much better). The Alcolado Glacial was very refreshing as well. I've been looking for a large vintage Friodur for some time, and I finally found one in good nick (in Japan :)) and with a lovely thin hollow ground grind. I could tell already when I was setting the bevel it was going to take a great edge (you can tap/pop hair right off it)

Monday 20th August 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Merkur 15C
Blade: Timor
Brush: Burma Shave/Lijun Boar
Soap: Füme
Aftershave: Dove Sensitive Balm

My initial impression of the Timor blade (which I have not used before) was bad, it felt 'tuggy' on the first pass, I then went on to get a perfect BBS. Really strange, I now don't know what to think about these blades, I will try again tomorrow.

Regards
Dick
