Hot shower
Kent BK8
Dr Harris - Windsor
Dovo 5/8
Profs ASB with 444 mixed

First pass was a little rough but the second was lovely and smooth! Managed a XTG in a diagonal fashion chuffed!

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Chubby 3 by Simpson
Razor: Bengall in cast steel by T R Cadman and sons
Superlather: Dr Harris Almond + Proraso
AS and edt: Paco Rabanne, Ultraviolet
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean :D

Third time's a charm - I had to hone this razor 3 times to get this lovely edge, but it was worth it, even though I was a little "¤##"¤ about it (I could have used two layers of tape, but where would the fun have been then ;)) - I love these chunky old Sheffield blades :D :D

Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
Joseph Rodgers and Sons "The Norfolk Razor"
Simpsons 'Rover' Manchurian Hamster
Proraso White Soap (New Formula)
Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm
Penhaligons Juniper Sling

The beginning of my weekend after a very busy week and what better way than a long shave listening to the radio to start the day. Not my closest shave but comfortable and clean. Chores to do then out for a meal later. Its all good.

Saturday:

Tabac soap - postie arrived with this just in time for this morning's shave
Semogue SOC Boar
Gillette LC New/Weber Bulldog
Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge (3)
Barbershop Bay Rum

Great shave, BBS results. The Tabac was great!

Greetings

Saturday 18th August 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: 'New' Head R41 Handle
Blade: Supermax Blue Diamond Platinum Coated
Brush: Turkish No 6 Horse
Cream: Palmolive
Aftershave: RSC Post Shave Soothing Balm

My second shave with the Supermax blade and it was noticeably duller, I will not try a third.

The RSC Balm is just fine, especially for a pound! My quest to find a balm for 75 pence has of yet born no fruit, but my search continues!

As my job pension will not stretch to a wonderful Mcusta knife like Jamie photographed last week, I have included the pensioners equivalent, my well worn Swiss Army shutknife circa about 1990 ish!

Regards
Dick (cheap in Norfolk)

After a nice picnic in the park:
Scent from heaven Issey Miyake-style shaving soap
Fatboy on 4, 2
Gillette 365
Body Shop Arber a/s lotion

Nice but overdid it at the bottom of the neck. Got a really nice lather from the soap. Wasted quite a bit! :eek:s

Used up a tub of Proraso pre/pot cream. The really big jars. Second in two years. Do I get a medal or something?

Saturday:

Edwin Jagger black badger
T+H luxury hard soap
Merkur 34C
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
Ogalalla bay rum, lime and peppercorns

Pretty good. I've been finished work for about 4 weeks now so I've gone from 6 shaves a week to maybe 2, just when I have the time and I'm not looking after a child. It's odd after all this time to have stubble most days. Today was clean and fresh, much better.

Saturday

T.I. 11/16 Le Grelot Form Razor
Edwin Jagger Silvertip Brush
Vitos Super Coconut Soap
Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner

Result. Acceptable. Just.

Ian
