Tobs sandalwood cream
Progress on 2, 1 with English Wilkinson Sword
Lacoste a/s balm

Great razor and blade combo. After a close shave late morning yesterday I only really needed two passes but as always risked irritation and got all over BBS! Even my neck area which is always a problem.

Tuesday

Thiers Issard 11/16 "Le Grelot Form"
EJ Best Badger Brush
MB's Bay Rhum Soap
Thayer's Witch Hazel

Comfortable shave with 2 WTG passes, and a result to match, i.e. crap - I still need a shave.

Derby (3)
EJ black badger
C&E Nomad cream
C&E Sienna balm

Bagged a few samples from a lovely sales assistant from the C&E in Inverness. Shave wasn't spectacular but I'm going to pop back on Thursday for a tube of the Sienna shave cream. The scent's brilliant and, if the base is the as the Nomad offering, performs acceptably too. No worse than my tubs of Trumpers anyway.

Razor: GEM Micromatic OC
Blade: Modern GEM Coated
Brush: Vie Long 13061M Horse
Shaving Cream: TOBS Sandlewood
Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm

I have been away in the tent for the long weekend and have only shaved the once, a really ultra close shave with the OCMM but one small weeper, I had three days growth and the GEM cuts it down like a rotary lawnmower! A wonderful razor but you need to go a little slower!

Dick.

Tuesday 14th August 2012
Razor: 7 o'clock New Head & Muhle R41 Handle
Blade: Astra Stainless (Blue Packet)
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Cream: Supermax
Aftershave: Wilkinson Sword Sensitive Balm

My first time with the blue packet Astra it seems a very smooth blade but my shave was so close from the day before with the OCMM that perhaps it was not a proper trial, I can say that it was a very 'comfortable' blade to shave with and easy going on my skin and produced a super result but I am unable to remember what the standard green packet Astra feels like compared to it!

The Supermax cream is lovely, a delicate scent and a slippery lather, I note it is made in Bulgaria; whatever significance that has! It costs one pound a tube!

Regards
Dick.
