Tabac shaving stick
Rocket HD
Astra SP, second shave
Tobs Shaving Shop a/s gel

Tabac has been left open ever since I bought it and the worst excesses of stale fags and rotting flesh have eased a little. I can smell soap now as well.

Kent soap
Vulfix 404 bristle & badger
EJDE89L, Wilkinson Sword

3rd shave with The Fat, 1st time I've got the lather right - fantastic lather. Very nice shave, no need for balm. On a different note, I've shaved 7 days consecutively, which is unusual for me. In fact it's probably the first time I've done that in a number of years. I had thought I would skip it this weekend, but I just haven't been able to resist!

Pre Prep + DR Harris Arlington shaving cream + New Forest 2213 + Weber ARC Bulldog with Feather #1 + Provence Santé splash with 444 balm

Today I have tested the Weber razor with a Feather blade. The result: a superb shave without any kind of nicks or irritation, when I used the splash it was like clean water, hehe. I like much this razor for sure, is really difficult to have a bad shave with it (like Rotbart razor as well). A shame the issues about finishing in its ARC head.

By the way, although this New Forest is a good brush for facelathering, it continues loosing hair... I hope that some time it will stop, as is not confortable to find so long hairs in my beard when I'm shaving it.

Cheers!

Proraso Pre shave
Connaught Violet Shaving Cream
Weber DLC Bulldog with Astra SP
Alum
No fragrance as I had to rush out.

Awesome shave, really enjoyable BBS shave with only two passes (WTG & XTG).
No nicks or cuts which is a first with an Astra as they usually dont agree with me.

SUNDAY MORNING

Gillette aluminium handled HD Rocket
Gillette 365 (2)
Culmak Junior Brush
La Toja stick
Witch hazel
Bulldog AS balm

Really excellent shave from my travel kit staples.

I have two of these razors and was thinking of selling one but now I'm not so sure.

Nice start to a Sunday morning.

Sunday:

Nanny's French Lavender Hard Soap
Semogue SOC Boar
Feather Artist Club SS
Feather Pro Guard
Professor Blighty's Green Ginger AS

Not the most comfortable shave this morning. I'm struggling a bit to get consistent lather with nanny's soap, it didn't seem particularly slick this morning. Something to work on I guess.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
1958 Executive/Iridium
Penhaligons Racquets SC (old stuff)
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
TGQ 'Leatherneck' extrait

BBS results,

Martin

5/8 Hackett Diamond
Harris Almond
homemade brush- 22mm
Malizia Uomo Gold

This is what I like to shave with. It's kind of a no name hardware company branded razor. It took a fine edge and gave a great shave. It's unmarked as to country of origin and only has Hackett Hardware, St. Paul, Minn.

Proraso White
NF Tubby 1
Dovo 5/8
Profs ASB in abundance

Less nicks than yesterday, not quite as smooth but a lot more hair removed. Face a little sore, limited myself to two passes WTG.

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap, cold
Razor: Joseph Rodgers "The Favorite", restored by Jamie
Brush: Neep #1033 soapstone ball and bobbin 24mm high mountain badger
Soap: D R Harris Marlborough
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Green Ginger

Pretty good.

I notice UKRob saying elsewhere that tugging can be a sign of an overly shallow angle. I'll have to bear that in mind as I continue to learn - I may be simply too shallow on some of these blades.

Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
Ikon S3S
Supermax Stainless (2)
Muhle Silvertip Fibre 21mm Horn
The Body Shop Maca Root Cream
Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm

Well, the supermax blade isn't the sharpest but its much more comfortable on me nowadays than it was. Busy week ahead for me - yipee :-/
