Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
Feather Artist Club SS - Pro Blade
Simpsons Tulip T1
Nanny's Gentleman's shaving soap - French Lavender
Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm
Much better shave today - always a plus when you have a feather blade in your hand!
Pre-shave: Hot bath
Soap: Palmolive Stick
Brush: Edwin Jagger large silvertip
Razor: Ever Ready 1914 WW1 model
Blade: GEM single edge
Post shave: Cold water, Trumper scent-free moisturiser
Method: Face lather, one wtg pass followed by 2 xtg passes, one in each direction
Pretty basic shave today with no fragrances or fancy pre-shaves etc. The Jagger is a bit soft for face lathering. However I had an excellent shave; close with no irritation.
Funny how aggressive single edge razors give me less irritation than mild double edged razors.

Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick Type G(8)
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Lijun Boar
Cream: T.O.B.S. Mr. Taylor
Aftershave: Wilkinson Sword Sensitive Balm
My first shave with a Schick G type, I certainly found this razor milder than the type E but it still had enough bite (aided by my ineptness) to put a nick into the large mole I have on my left cheek! Otherwise a really nice shave, I did have one more try with a vintage Schick blade but had to give up and change.
There may not have been many great advances in razors over the years but there certainly has been (IMHO) in blade technology especially in respect of coatings.
