Butterscotch 'le Tuft' silvertip/Vicco cream (superb lather but the cream does have an unusual smell) :? Sorry secret Santa.
Rocket/ 365 Stainless (smooth as silk, even on a 2 day growth)
Alum
Ogallala Bay Rum.
Interesting mix today but nevertheless, an excellent shave.

First go with secret santa's 1305 (after three break in lathers) and it was very impressive. I'd not used a Supermax blade (prior to last night) for a good few weeks either, and it worked very well. Following on from the recent comments on here I substituted the cold rinse for a warm water one, and left out the alum - it seemed to work very well. In fact the whole shave was pretty near perfect.

I use my custom made table strops and Gotta 6/8 and Sheffield 6/8 as well..which SE are you using?

Micromatic and a couple of 1912,but I havent used them since last spet,s its time for them to see some water.

Not the best shave today leading me to beleave the gillette pre shave scrub did in fact help, further investigation needed, tried just a warm rinse at the end as well.
 
Wednesday night:

Pre: Hot shower and then Truefitt + Hill ultimate comfort pre shave oil.
Soap: T+H luxury hard soap.
Brush: Edwin Jagger black.
Razor: Merkur 34C with Derby Extra (3).
T+H ultimate comfort AS balm.

The new T+H items (barring the soap) were samples in the T+H big sample pack, ordered less than 24 hours before, good service. The ultimate comfort range has a lemony, citrus freshness... very nice.

A tiny nick under my bottom lip. Probably getting a little too confident in technique, slow down man!

Mmmmm.....not a happy bunny! I cheated and finished off with my Merkur!
But on the other, more realistic, hand it's only day two.
Must use a soap tomorrow. The SC was drying out too quickly. Cheeks and under the nose
no probs but the chin and neck a different story.

Hey I'm not a quitter. I should know. Those ciggs are buggers!
