Wednesday: (mid week nearly the weekend!)

Hot towl
Merkur 34c
Israeli Made Double Edged Razor Blade (New blade)
Pure Badger Shaving Brush
Cyril Salter Luxury Shaving Cream (Indian Sandalwood)
Witch Hazel (distilled from Boots chemist)
Kings Face Balm (Black pepper and sandalwood)

Couple of weepers, think it was me not really with it and forgot to pull the skin a bit tighter on my neck area.

Did two passes and nice and smooth, bit of balm and my face is feeling fresh :D :shave

Wednesday:

EJ de87
7 o'clock yellow
BS Maca Root
Muhle pure badger
Bulldog asb

A more focused shave after yesterday's blood-letting incident. I re-visited the 7 o'clock yellow which I've not tried for a while - an effective blade, but for me not quite as smooth as others. Usual 3 pass + touchup left nice clean results :)

Hot shower
Palmolive SC
Men U brush
EJ DE89

Nice head and face shave, no problem with neck area today, caught side of head a little just behind ear but nothing that a cold water splash didnt sort out. But will buy stypic pencil today as its worth having in the armoury. :shave

Men-u pure bristle brush
Boots Cool Cologne Cream
Merkur 33
Crystal IP
Macca Root Razor Relief
Ogallala Lime & Peppercorn

Working from home today, so no need for the usual morning rush. 1 x WTG, 2 x XTG and touch ups. Lovely shave - although a bit of trouble with the neck - and extremely enjoyable with a very presentable result. This DE shaving is becoming so addictive :hungrig

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields whitecap
1958 Executive/Schick Plus Platinum w/Teflon
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic

Wednesday

Bath

Goodfella SB "Michelle"
Gillette Super Thin (2)
T&H Wellington Super Badger Brush
Trumpers GFT Cream Sample
WTG - XTG - XTG - ATG + Touch ups
Thayers Unscented Toner
Trumpers Sandalwood Skin Food Sample - Just want to pour this stuff down my gullet. What a smell
Trumpers Eau de Quinine Sample - Will enjoy the smell of the Skin Food first. Will splash this on just before I go to work.

Really enjoying the samples I got from Trumpers and T&H, but boy is my bank manager - a.k.a. SWMBO - not gonna like me for the next couple of months, mind you, 'tis gonna make my birfdee and crimbo lists nice n easy ;)

Nice shave all round. No irritation during or after this shave.

TTFN. . .

Wednesday AM:

Musgo Real Glyce lime oil soap
Hot flannel
'63 Gillette slim adjustable
Supermaz stainless (2)
TOBS sandalwood tube cream (bowl-lathered)
Kent BK2
Boots witch hazel
Nivea Sensitive A/S balm

3 1/2 passes (WTG on 4, WTG on 6, XTG on 4, then ATG on jawline and neck only)

Result: SAS/DFS,

2 lessons learned: firstly, when I only have 2 days' growth, the second WTG pass is wasted, be better to replace it with an XTG pass in the other direction, and save the 2 WTG passes for when I have a heavy beard. Secondly, I made an uberlather wih the lime oil soap and the sandalwood cream, but it resulted in some irritation, so I'll leave the lime oil soap for when I use the RSC cream, which seems gentler.

09/03

London, Dawn has just broken, looks like it tried to rain earlier and I have the usual 6am start so:

Shower for Prep.
NF2221
Monsavon - (Opted to facelather today - Radio 4 was already dishing out the racing tips so I must have been running late. The 2221 does quite well face lathering with a hard soap despite Fido's Warnings)
Ever Ready 1912
Alum
Tet-a-Tet Aftershave Cream

Just started getting a tad of stubble under the chin as I type this at 1pm. I would rate that BBS shave!
