Nice soap dish.
Hey my friend!I havent seen you in the new foroafeitado:http://www.foroafeitado.es/foro/index.php
The soap dish is one from Maison Du Barbier,the same that Plisson uses for its shaving soap.Well,Plisson,Joris and Maison du Barbier are under the same company,Vikim diffusion.

DE 89L
Dorco 301... I think!
Semogue 830
TOBS Jermyn street.

Not too keen on those Dorco's. There just not sharp enough for me.

Otherwise a lovely shave. My 830 is still getting better and better. Since I've got it my Duke 2 has just sat there :shock:

Thursday Night:

    • * EJ DE 8x Series razor head and a solid stainless steel handle
      * Erasmic Bowl shave soap
      • o many folks bash this stuff claiming it doesn't make good lather
        • + worked very well for me - maybe they need to use a boar or a horsehair brush, but they're using a badger with too soft tips?
          • # or their water to product ratio is off ...?[/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]
            * Centwin Platinum blade
            * Omega Pro94
            * MICAlum stick
            * CarePlus Distilled Witch Hazel
            * Floid (Italian recipe) Blue ASL[/list:u][/list:u]

Cella is fantastic! :D

Friday

Merkur 38C
Shark Super Chrome Blade
New Forest 2201 Brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Alum
Nivea 'Cool Kick' asb

As good as it gets. Very close and very comfortable.

Friday

ABC Tea Tree Soap
A. Jnr & Astra(1)
Proraso Green & 2b Col.
Proraso ASB
Proraso AS

What a difference a razor makes. Anyone who thinks that all Gillette TTO's shave much as a muchness - you're wrong. Bearing in mind I did not seem to get a straight shave with the A. Jnr previously and nearly sold it, after the Ranger Tech it was a revelation this morning.

Friday (already) : (end second week using a DE razor)

Hot towl
Merkur 34c
Derby blade (new blade)
Pure Badger Shaving Brush
Cyril Salter Luxury Shaving Cream (wild Rose)
Witch Hazel (distilled from Boots chemist)
Geo F Trumper Coral Shaving Skin Food

Not sure if its me but there seems to be a small element of hit and miss with the derby blades as this one seemed a little agressive. Or perhaps its just Friday and I was a bit more sleepy than I thought when I shaved.

Either way tried out the new wild rose shaving cream which for me makes a nice foil to change from the indian sandal wood and I really like the coral skin food.

The wife appreciated this one (she loved the scent) and I still got a smooth shave. Very slight soreness but is passing.

Friday

Merkur 37c
Shark SS (1)
EJ Med Pure
Erasmic Cream

Nivea AS
C&E Sienna EdeT

Three pass, face lathered.

Excellent. Yesterday's shave left me smooth for a fair while longer that the Tech shaves. This leads me to think that the Tech provides a hassle free and quickish shave - the HD series provide a more long lasting and satisfying result.

Just saying, that's all.

:D

Friday:

1958 Red tip Super Speed
Tiger blade
TOBS Avocado cream
Palmolive SS
Muhle brush
Bulldog asb

Blimey, what an awesome combo the Red tip + Tiger is! The 1st pass left my neck/jawline smoother than 3 passes yesterday with the Slim. I would have been satisfied with just 2 passes, but went for a 3rd because I was enjoying myself so much.

Easily the smoothest most satisfying shave in the last week :D

I´m amazed that a 200 year old razor can compete and beat many of the "modern" vintage razors out there :D
