Pre: Hot shower / Boots No7 face scrub
Brush: Wilkinson Sword
Razor: Merkur Futur - setting 3
Soap: Wilkinson Sword + small amount of Gillette Gel
Blade 3rd shave on a 7 o'clock swapped after painful first pass for Gillette Blue
Moisturiser: Real Shaving company Post shave

Been very impressed with the 7 o'clock blades but tried a 3rd shae with it and started to pull so I swaaped out to a Blue (kindly pif'd by Slick - Thank you!)
End result, as good as my first shave with a new Feather!

Technique really coming along now! :shave :D

              Well, it was a pretty mellow shave for such a crap day; even more stress than a 'usual' Monday. I guess I must be a teeny bit out of practise at dealing with yob-knobs on the phone, threatening physical violence upon me... doesn't mean I'll be getting back into the taxi industry, though.
                • Yob-Knob (belligerently, fortissimo): I can easily come over there, and if I do, I can chew you up for breakfast!

                  UH (extemporising, pianissimo): yeah, yeah, yeah, ... and I can fart in your face for lunch. (UH puts phone receiver back on cradle)[/list:u][/list:u]

Crabtree + Evelyn west indian limes cologne

Great shave, nice and close, comfortable. Fragrant as a tart's handbag.

Inspired somewhat by simmo3801's shave yesterday, I decided to go for a 2xWTG shave with the straight this morning. As usual, the process of shaving was good, but the result wasn't. Again, no burn or blood, but not clean enough. I'm definitely getting quicker, though.

Ian: what simmo said + you can try and slightly use different angels when doing the wtg:s, just tilt the razor ever so little down or up, but still giljotine strokes, if you get my picture? :?

I took the time and used good prep this morning!
I have a very small but beautifully thick Egyptian cotton "guest" towel which I use as an over sized face cloth! :)
Warmed up my face with this and boy was there a difference!

Still nicked my ear damn it! :roll: Same place as yesterday! And I was thinking about yesterday when I did it!! Doh!
Thank goodness I have a round point rather than square or I'd have no ear left?
Ah if I didn't laugh I would cry! :oops:

Stayed with the HD rocket and the Dutch Moss today. However i tried a new blade, A swede kindly sent by Antdad. The rest of the prep was the same as usual. The Swede gave a really nice shave And considering i shaved yesterday very comfortable. The result was not quite as close as the feather used for the previous 3 shaves, But certainly close enough.
All this finished with the Pashana A/S. :D
